| | | My roommate is from the Canton, OH area and snapped these pictures for me recently. Built in the 1930s, abandoned in 1995, it's in Limaville, but I don't know much else about it (other than the little bit of history I was able to dig up). He said he was inside a few years ago, but that the police use part of the building for storage and there are motion sensors all over the place (however easily disabled). Has anyone been here or know anything about it?
This city is my jungle gym...Look at this big great world that we live in...There's lots of fun to be had on these streets...We can take a ride, just you and me...It's a jungle gym |

| | | Looks like the Molly Stark Sanatorium, just outside of Canton, east of it, forgot the town. Of course it was still somewhat operating for the city last time I was in the area. I guess the retirement home thing never happened.

| | | Google is your friend. http://www.hospita...AL-LOUISVILLE.html "Security is much higher now than it was several years ago--this fact suggests, along with a burnt section of the ground level, that arson has been attempted in the past. " " Several developers have offered up plans for the site in the event that they are granted ownership (condos mainly); however, the City is tossing around plans to build a Fire Station on the grounds of the Hospital. While it's unclear if this would touch the building itself at all, it surely would render Molly Stark all but inaccessible."

| | | My roommate still insists he's been in there numerous times despite what everyone keeps saying about its inaccessibility. He says the motion sensors are easy to find and cover and that it just takes a little bit of planning to get inside. I trust my roommates word, but then again he doesn't have any pictures to back it up. I'd love to see the inside, though... And if Broadview is any example, the proximity of a police station (or fire station) is certainly no hindrance if you're determined.

It is nearly impossible to get inside. Is your friend a ninja?

Haha...perhaps he is. I'll have to check his closets for ninja-esque black clothing and weapons.

| | | Motion sensors detect motion not light... I'm not very good with security stuff but last I checked they bounced some type of wave kinda like radar out and if there's a difference in time between receiving it sets it off but if there's no difference for a set amount of time it goes back to a passive detect mode. The only way to disable them I would think would be to cut the supply to the sensors or something. That's asking for trouble though... I'd like to hear how he pulled this off as well...
