totally depends. if the place is in danger of being demolished soon I might take a board off a window or something to get in. thankfully I've never had to get to that point, but I'm just who knows what may happen in the future.

Yea, it depends on the location. I bring lock picks with me that I don't mind throwing away. Unless you are caught in the act, you can still say the door was open. As long as you lock up behind you, who cares really?

Unless there was something I REALLY "needed" to see, I wouldnt' break anything.

Ive pulled boards off the windows, but they've always gone back up when I left. Other than that I kicked a door in once but propped a chair against it from the inside before taking off out of the second floor. So yeah I'll break something but cover it up when i leave. But like other people said, it all depends on the location and whats happening with it.

Someone from this forum brought lockpicks to an outing.

I was quite amused watching him struggle with a lock.

He didn't open it rofl.

hehe, yea if you don't get the lock open in the first couple minutes, you're probably not gonna get it.

I'm willing to climb or crawl as long as I see a hole my body can fit through. I never make holes of my own, though. A lot of times, if you return to a sight that you previously couldn't enter, you'll find that some vandal or thief has made an entrance for you. That relieves any moral issues you might have concerning breaking and entering.

for the most part if there isn't already an entrance then i wont go out of my way to get in. There have been instances where things have been unscrewed, or a board or two removed, and then put back when we leave. It really is on a site by site basis.

And a few of us were talking alot of shit to him as he was "picking" the lock.

Another member here has mentioned key bumping (I think that's the right word) I'm ok with that. I'm ok with lcokpicking too. I just don't do it myself.

The trouble with bumping a lock is getting the 999 key for that lock. (i.e. Master 999 keys work only on Master locks....mostly). and Locksmiths are NOT going to cut you a 999 Key...ever, they know what your going to do with it.

Hook us up, Kade.

You don't necessarily need a 999 key. One can file down the notches to make it a 999; however, I've always thought this was a risky proposition, and it's always best to check with a dummy lock to ensure that it works.

I don't even go into locations anymore cos I don't like breaking the law. The laws are made by really smart people to keep us safe. I just walk around the perimeter fence and that's just as good as going in. Plus the interiors are usually empty (from what i can see through the windows behind the fence).

Going inside it stupid, you're a criminal! Just look from outside and appreciate!

to file a key down is risky as you could easily not file it enough or too much. Alot of trial and error, too much work for too little return. Now since someone here has a locksmith friend.......
