| | EASTERN STATE HOSPITAL-HERMISTON HOSPITAL-HOT LAKE MOTEL, < on 8/16/2006 8:22 AM >
| | | WELL, i dont seem to see anyone from my part of the state so il fill everyone in on what's in my part of the state abandoned and such. well in spokane there is medical lake asylum. half of it is totally abandoned i have been there 2# this year and no not because i was admitted. i asked if they gave tours and the lady told me not today maybe another day so that's a good outlook. but right behind the asylum lies a totally abandoned prison and it looks old ide say it has not been in use in well over 10 years and with the juvy prison across the street that's in use i dont think i want to break in to jail. there is also a old old school to the left of it that is abandoned to and it's a pretty large school to looks like it's has had it's better days below the asylum is a few abandoned dr's homes one looks to be lived in....i was told by someone there that the asylum is not the orig that only 50% is orig that's all they said. we drove around the complex for like a good 10-20 min and know one said nothing not even the police driving in and out what's odd is this place put there cemetery liek way way away from the place like ide say a mile away at the most...... ok my area tri-cities kennewick richland pasco we have nothing no bs nothing but there is a huge abandoned hospital in hermiston oregon that's 4 miles from the wa-or border and 28 miles from kennewick ive been there twice the place is well trashed and it has no security but if you call the police station 1/2 mile away security then dont bother the place has been abandoned since 83 and it was closed do to a epidemic they has in the late 70's and it was killing people ide call bs on this but ive read and heard allot of people talk about it thats why the place is so boarded up tight they say they cant tear it down do to the lead paint and esp and much more bs so it sits.... also in la grande or there is a abandoned movie star motel (hot lake) and it was shut down tdo to the highway redirected in the early 1900's and it was then turned in to a asylum for many many years and was vacant for the last 30 plus years i was told last week that someone paid for it and is turning it in to a mall or something inside.... RUMORS i heard hood river has a old hospital and many underground spaces also when you get off the freeway there when you go to turn right in to hoodriver there is a house that is abandoned at the stop sign against the hill

| | | Pictures? I need to make a list of locations to go check out next time I'm alone for a few days and want to take a drive Lots of times it's more expensive (in the short term) to tear stuff down than leave it up, especially if it's contaminated with asbestos, PCBs, lead, etc. Some of my favorite UE sites "sort of" in your neck of the woods were the dams on the Snake River back in the mid-90's (during my internment at WSU). Before "9/11", it was common to be able to walk right in through the unlocked front doors and into the generator rooms. And nobody was around to even notice you! We did this at Lower Granite a few times. Now they've probably got machine guns on autofire It's a "different world" now. I suspect this is true of the WSU utility tunnels, which still account for the majority of my UE'ing, despite that most of it happened more than a decade ago! Regards, MoleNet94
