Quick Question

So I went exploring yesterday along the Opeongo Trail and surrounding area...

I'm planning on posting a little write-up and a few photos, but I happen to know that one site in particular is listed in the Full Members section, but not publicly (because I see Mutt mentioned it in a comment of one of his public photos).

So my question is: what's the precedent here? Is there anything wrong with just going ahead and saying "here's where I went and here's what it looked like?" (thereby giving away the location of a 'members-only' site)? Or do I simply omit the name/location? Or what?

Lemme know.

Just post the photos, say you checked out the location, leave out anything really detailed.

Well that's just it, what's "really detailed"? For instance, I've got links to Google Maps for each of the sites where I stopped... do I include that? As a matter of fact in this case, even the name of the place will make it easy for anybody to find it on Google.

To explain it in the best terms I can... As detailed as you would like to share with the exception of a particular entry point.

For example don't say "the best way to get into xxx is to use the ladder located on the far right hand side of the parking lot, and hop up on the roof and go into the 2nd window to avoid being seen by the Police"

You CAN say however you visited xxx and had a great time, saw this and that, almost got your ass busted, walked barefoot through the broken glass and syringes, enjoyed the smell of various rotting cats and give any details you wish to share.

The reason we don't post particular entry points is to prevent a) authorities from viewing them and locking the place down b) vandals, vagrants and wankers from getting in and trashing a place

Send lawyers, guns, and money...

Just show off the photos. Brief discussion on the contents of the site. No address, no Google maps links ect.

OK... posted a writeup in the "Canada: Ontario" forum; I'll post some of my favourites in the Critique Forum in a little while.

Post some photos and then explain them using captions or something..Then I suggest you give a breif explanation of what you thought.
