Hey, Spork here; always had a fascination with exploring, but only recently learned about the whole UE scene. I've done a bit of stuff on my own, the most hardcore being the abandoned trolley tunnel in Providence, RI, but I'm hoping to find other people to meet up with 'cause I know that solo UE is not a very smart idea. Nice to meet everyone~

Hello to everyone here at UER, new user from Toronto, Canada. I started to solo UE many years ago when I was still a teenager, it was mainly due to insomnia and boredom that I started to UE. I've at times gone UE at neighbour's backyard, industrial buildings, schools, library (once), abandoned buildings, construction sites, and once on top of a construction crane before. I have always soloed UE and although I've guessed that groups like this existed, I didn't really consider UE with others until I came across this site. I am mainly a climber since I don't like to break things and I haven't learned to pick locks. I love the feeling of UE because the sense of 'discovery' is very exciting.

I'm also currently working as security at an abandoned building in downtown Toronto, so I can do some "legit" UE while at work! I do plan to maybe do some UE soon but have to make sure it is truly abandoned, don't want to get charge for trespassing, especially since my full-time job is to look for trespasser.

Before you go posting exact locations, read up on Forum Rules and ethics.

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum, but I am not new to exploring. I have explored many cool places around Southern Ontario.
Places I have explored include: Toronto Convention Center basement, Tunnels connecting Rogers Center, CN Tower and Union Station, McMaster University pool, old buildings on James Street across from Jackson Square (Hamilton), and more.
I look forward to discussing these and other exploration on this forum.

Hey guys,

I'm new to the boards. I can't believe how big the community is. I've been going through old buildings for the last few years. I'll be joining up with some of you for the Muskoka Sanitarium Invitational in November.

Can't wait to meet you guys there!

Hi guys I'm new here and just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Jordi and I'm a student at ETSU in Johnson City TN, living in Bristol. I honestly have no idea why UE interests me but it does. There really isnt a lot around here I could explore. Most everything thats abandoned around here is either on private property (which wouldnt be a big deal if I didnt live in the booneys in TN with all the rednecks...) or are really hard to get to. Most of my friends think I'm odd for finding it interesting but Oh well! I'm going to try to explore a cave that was up the mountain from where I used to live, but since my family sold the property it might be a little difficult! Oh well thats a little about me! I'd love to answer questions about where I live and if I know of any good places!

hey people,

I'm new to UER but not new to "urban exploration." I live in upstate NY and have a huge collection of photos and documents from my research on local history and my own wanderings. I'm excited to share this with others who are fascinated by the dilapidated buildings in our neighborhoods, but unfortunately I guess that will have to wait for full membership!! In the meantime, I will try to get the server with all of the scanned docs up and running!!

Glad to find such a community!!

They call me the Dark-Pariah,

I represent The Wanderers a group of explorers from in and around Barrie, Ontario, Canada. We just started up and are still organizing ourselves into a real team. I will let the rest of the group make their own introductions, in their own time. But for now I shall introduce myself.

I've been "doing" UE for a couple of months now, before that I was really big on Caving, and most of my skills have carried over quite well. unfortunately my Caving life came to an abrupt and sudden end with a car accident, and the advent of various other heath problems. In the years following the accident, I found my way into the Fashion Industry as a Model, unfortunately model life doesn't offer nearly enough excitement and adventure as Caving did. So, I have returned to my adventuring roots and am now building up my UE experience. These boards have been a great help getting myself and my team set up with equipment lists and everything else we need. I'm hoping to meet some of you on at the different meets I hope to be attending.

Hey Everyone

I've lurked around here before, but never really thought I had anything to contribute.

I've done a few large buildings in and around Toronto that have been really fun.

My main interest in this is to find interesting photo scenes.

Howdy Everyone ...

I've been lurking around here for a long time, and just registered and started participating in the last few days.

I'm in DFW and have been UEing most of my life even though I never really called it that

Seems like there are quite a few folks in my area, and if you ever want or need a partner for a site, let me know ... I'm always game for a new adventure.

Greets. I go by Flood, I'm in Rochester, NY.

I've been Urbexxing for a few years now with the worst digital camera ever made. While I've technically been a member since May I've only just remembered about it... ah well. Anyways, I generally explore with my girlfriend and at least one other friend, and I must admit, I do occasionally "liberate" small, forgotten objects from sites that won't exist much longer. I call it preservation. I think my coolest find was a brass revolver chamber snagged out of an armory.

I have a location I want to add, but I guess that'll have to wait (I wasn't aware of the "Full Member" setup and so forth), so hopefully I can get it put up before the incredibly slow demolition process takes it down.

Hey everybody. If you can't tell from the map, I'm from a tiny town called Monson. There isn't even 8500 people in the town, so if you've actually heard of it before, you must live close or have relatives. In that case, get in touch with me. Despite its small size, there is plenty to do in my town. Abandoned hat factories, schools (almost abandoned), and an old portion of a mental hospital where they did all the weird experiments like electroshock therapy and lobotomies to retarded people. With any luck, I'll be checking that out soon. It's great to be here.

Hello. I'm Jack. I just found my way to UER today, but I can see we are going to have a future together. I have always enjoyed seeking out the unknown. Unfortunately, here in Los Angeles, nothing sits long before it is torn down and something new goes up. I have been able to get into a lot of old buildings, but I'd like to learn about some new places to explore in my area. I also treasure hunt and go graving a lot.

This may sound stupid, but what is "graving"? The only definition I found was this, and I'm pretty sure that's not what you're talking about:

From www.thefreedictionary.com

Graving
n. 1. The act of cleaning a ship's bottom.
