Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a few months now. Since I just started posting in the Pacific SW regional forum, I figured i'd better post here too.
I'm 29 and have been into UE ever since I was a small child growing up in the woods of southern Louisiana. Back then it was mostly old abandoned houses or barns. As an adult, i've been in my share of storm drains thanks to being a hash house harrier.

I haven't done any significant UE in several years. So, what's kick-starting my interest now? Well, I knew of an old theater in my town that was scheduled for demolition...and I didn't check it out before it was torn down. Yes, i'm kicking myself now.

So, here I am..in the San Francisco bay area if anyone is looking for a UE partner.

Howdy, all. Native Texan now living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Love exploring urban decay, sublime architecture, and grain elevators in the middle of nowhere. I work full time as a producer in radio, and almost as many hours as a composer...music for TV/film, as well as remixes for major artists.

Interested in meeting up with other people in the area for outings...love making friends with common interests.

Can't wait to learn from you guys with more experience.

Hey I just wanted to put this out there for the piggies here that are still enjoying a cool crisp night. been UER'n since was 2'2" and been getting into where I don't belong ever since. I have seen a few places that are on there way out and have enjoyed the "indiana'" experiance immensly.

I stated exploring when I was very young spending my time exploring delapidated buildings the day or two before they were tore down and have been exploring delapidated buidlings years before they're eventual demise. some of my favourites have been entire towns that have been over ground decades after their usefullness.

just thought it was my time to pullute your message boards with crapolla !

BTW corrent spelling is for lozurs

Ive been on the forum for a little while now and haven't yet introduced myself. I hail from the Boston area and I push boundaries in every way I can. Ive been doing UE myself for a while now, but it was not until fairly recently did I know that there was an actual community of people that enjoyed unconventional exploration the same way I do. Though in many ways I can be considered a rookie or "n00b," don't think I don't know my way inside or around places not expected to be accessed.

EDIT: Feel free to PM me about hitting a site in the NE area. New things, always good.

Hello community!
Everyone calls me k.bell, i am from Ontario Canada and am attending McMaster University in the area of Fine Arts, also completing a minor in english and double major with Multimedia. I take my camera everywhere and see most things through my eyes with photographic potential. I'm obsessed with colors and light and have recently started exploring interest in abandoned buildings around my area. I almost peed my pants with excitement when i came across this little treasure of a website i look forward to participating and interacting in this community.

I guess I am going to make my official introduction. I have been a member and been lurking here for years. I thought I did one of these before, but I guess not. I am in the Southwest corner of Michigan. The next town over has a ton of gorgeous UE locations that I really haven't gotten the chance to explore much, but plan to this summer now that I have a worthy camera (D70). I am not too far from Indiana which I have ventured into quite a few locations. I would contribute pics from some of those locations, but I will wait until I can revisit them with something other than a point and shoot camera, as I have been embarrassed of the pictures I have gotten to document these locations.

Hello,

I've been lurking around here for a while now - and decided to finally join and setup a proper profile.

I live in downtown Toronto, Canada - I basically spent my childhood exploring the storm sewers and old buildings around Toronto. I haven't done that much recreationally lately, however at work I often run across old steam tunnels, and various other abandoned structures in and around buildings downtown.

Recently I've found my interest re-kindled and thought it might be fun to connect with other people that are into it!

Hey everyone! I'm Aimee. I have been intrigued with UE for as long as I can remember. I just haven't been able to really find anyone in my area who is interested in it. I would like to find others in Tennessee to explore with. If you're interested let me know. Bye

Hey there. I'm Janet from San Francisco. I'm a UE newb, but I've seen so many breathtaking photos of abandoned places in the Bay Area. I feel compelled to visit these places and take my own. I like the look of abandoned large complexes: military bases, factories, etc. more than tunnels and drains. But who knows? I might get into that too.

I'd really like to meet up with others and go exploring. I know of several places I'd like to go, but I think I need some help figuring out which ones would be good for a solo beginner and work my way from there.

Greetings and Salutations from afar. Ran across the forums about a week-ish ago when someone in an IRC room linked to a page with some beautiful pictures. Needless to say(but I'm still going to say it!), I kept looking around and decided to register. I enjoy history, architecture(specifically old), exploration, as well as photography and this site kinda wraps all of that into one which is pretty amazing.

I've done my fair share of "UE"ing in virginia beach, but also managed to get permission from the owner of the buildings several times. I'm currently in the Mass area, and usually in the Boston through the week. I'm a certified locksmith in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, so I'll chime in when I see such things, and will gladly answer any lock/key questions.

Greetings to all. I'm a new member and a new resident of the Cincinnati area. I moved here from Chicago and go back there often. I haven't gone Urban Exploring since I was a teenager, but always found it thrilling. If anyone has sone decent spots they would like to point me to (as a new member I don't have access to the map yet apparently) around here that would be great. If anyone wanted to volunteer to show me around town, that would be cool as well. I'm just looking to learn something about this quaint little town I now live in. Feel free to drop me a line anytime.

Hola!

I've been lurking for awhile a I figure it's time to introduce myself. I'm kind of a quiet one so I tend not to post too much.

Me = grither2061

I have quite a passion for exploration of abandoned buildings. I need to hook up with some folks in the Kansas City sometime as soon as I can make some time (stooopid job!)

Anyhoo, greetings to you all.

I've been lurking for a couple months, hi!

I currently live in Toronto and have explored here and there, but I'm new to urban exploration and infiltration. I just did some steam tunnels with a friend (Nimabine on here) in the University of Guelph which was awesome! I used to always explore around underpasses and such when I was younger while my dad was fishing (it gets boring)... and I grew up in a forest/wooded area with an abandoned barn/shacks which was always interesting, so it definitely propelled my interest... I also love photography & taking photos in places that have been forgotten for so long.

I can't wait to get in on some of the Toronto meets!

Hi Janet,

We have a monthly meet and greet in the Bay Area so you should come there and it will be a great way to meet people and we usually go out exploring afterwards. Keep an eye out for the thread. Welcome to UER.

Hi all!

Longtime lurker here, but I'm getting ready to step up to the plate and start posting, so I thought this would be a good place to start. I've been doing UE in one form or another for several years. Most of my interest lies in ghost towns and digging into the history behind more modern buildings I explore.

Glad to be here, and looking forward to sharing!
