Greetings all!
40 yr old White male/Detroit area resident here. I've been UE-ing off and on since about 1981. Places visited include an abandoned train station, theatre, department store, funeral home plus a dozen or so houses and storefronts.
I hope to talk w/ you and maybe do some shared exploring together in the future
John.

Salutations and all that funky jazz.

I'm pretty stoked to be a member of this site, as I've kinda become obsessed with urban exploration in the last few weeks with my new camera. I live in the Greater Sudbury area and have just started exploring a few sites in the region. The photography that I've seen so far on this site is absolutely topnotch, and I'm excited to learn some new tips and ideas on how to use my camera to its fullest potential.

Wow...did all of that just sound totally, asskissingly anal-retentive?? Yeah...so anyways be gentle in your initiation rituals...I bruise easily and tend to scream like a 6 year-old when purple nurpled.

Keep it real and shizzle the nizzle.

I didn't know that there was such a thing as urban exploration until I read an article in the San Francisco Chronicle: http://www.sfgate....ion&sn=001&sc=1000

In my teenage years I did some typical wandering around, checking out old houses and buildings, mostly just wondering how these places came to be the way they were and why no one did anything with them. Fascinating stuff. I must say that I'm VERY impressed with a lot of the trips some of you have taken (and I admire your bravery, too). Kudos and look forward to seeing and reading about some interesting side trips.

howdy neighbors! name's Rip Van Louis aka Hopscotch. I totally dig UE man, it's rad (had to insert some 1970's vernacular into this post to fulfill my monthly mandatory colloquial quota-holy hell, and now i sound like Gertrude Stein.) I hail from the St. Louis region, but have been known to explore as far as Klosternberg, Öst. DotWhy and I have been partners in UE for the past few months or so, but now she's off to neverland . She is fearless, and I'll miss her loads.
That's it folks, me in a pistachio nut shell. Before I go, I'd like to advise all St. Louisans to check out Carr School off 14th in North STL.

Hey all! I'm new here, and I'm looking to get into UEing, or more specifically, I'd like to further my urban/ industrial photography habit. I've always liked finding ways into places I know I really shouldn't be, and this board seems to fit the bill perfectly. So, any other UErs in the Norfolk/ Virginia Beach area?

On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

HI! I'm gr8fzy1 (great fuzzy one) and I have been into exploring abandoned buildings since I was...about 10...we had this burnt building behind our house that was a blast when I was a kid. Lately however, I have gotten a camera and have started taking pictures of vacant factories in my home town. I have 125 such photos from four different factories, and I'm still looking for more. There's just this thrill that you can only get from being somewhere that no one has been inside of for decades...and that keeps me clicking. As soon as I learn a little more about this site, I'll try and post some...okay?

Hey everyone, I'm a 19 year old guy originally from Tacoma, WA, but attend school in Portland, OR. I'm not all that experienced at the whole urbex thing; just a few abandoned buildings here and there, but I've been intrigued by the idea for years now. I'm hoping to learn about some cool places to go and learn how to do this sort of thing as safely and entertainingly as possible. Pretty sweet.

hey, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been doing this for a few years. CT and Mass are where I usually end up when I go out, so if you see me out and about just say hey or want to go check out something no one else wants to go, i'll be down for it.
I started out getting into parkour and ended up wanting a little more out of the rush. I'm a photographer for a living so that adds to the excitement. Well enough rambling!

Hello everybody, I think it's about time to introduce myself to you all.
First up I'm going to apologise if I spell things wrong, I'm dyslexic, but I use a spell checker .

I'm currently 18, living someplace in Wellington New Zealand.
I have been into urbex for a few years now, I just didn't know I was . I'm glad I have finally found a forum where I can have a look at other peoples photos and hopefully share my own.
I like a few things about urbex, one is the fact I'm sometimes places I'm not meant to be, the fact that you're also in a place that people might not have been in decades is also quite a thrill, I'm also quite a fan of graffiti when it's done right.

I have had the chance to explore a few exciting places such a a group of four or five holiday homes, two old mental hospitals, an old bauxite mine, a sawmill and an old theme park sadly I didn't have access to a camera for most of them.
I also have a few trips in the planning, one to an old house that was apparently in use one day and empty the next and hasn't been occupied since, another to some bunkers dating back to world war one, and another local trip to workers housing dating back to the 1920's when there was a dam under construction. I'm also trying to get access to the ship used in the recent King Kong remake.

I have attached some photos from the mental hospital that I had access to, we used it (with the owners permission) to play airsoft in, sadly it had been totally trashed by the time we got to use it, but we did gain access to a series of underground tunnels with about a foot of water in them, the site was meant to have been destroyed last year but I'm hoping to check it out again sometime soon.

So that's me.
Sorry if the photos stretch the page, I can crop them and upload them again if needed. I can also add some links to some more if you wish.

Hello Everyone,

I was told about this site by devnull a couple years back but I forgot about it until his funeral. I joined right after that, took a peek around, and forgot about it again. This past week I went and checked out some locations and was reminded of the site again. I guess this time around I'll make an introduction and all that to remind myself to check back more often. I live in the Louisville KY area. Hit me up if you're in the area.

I changed my mind so much I can't even trust it. My mind changed me so much I can't even trust myself.

hey, i'm 16 and i live in sylvania, ohio, which is a suburb of toledo. i've always wanted to do UE, even before i found out that it actually existed and that it wasn't just me wanting to explore stuff. i don't think there's much for UE, or any other urban sport/art/thing in sylvania. maybe in toledo, but i've never really been there much.

Make no small plans.

Creatively speaking, audio is my specialty. Not quite sure yet how that will translate in a mainly visual medium.
I suppose Magnoodles would be my UE partner (not that kind of partner).

Hello, I recently registered onto this site and would like to make my presence known. I am new here, but not new to "Urban Exploring" although I always thought of it as just exploring or getting into trouble

I stumbled onto this site from Forgotten Florida hoping to find some explorable areas around South Florida.

I live around the Cooper City zone which is considerably close to Miami, and I was hoping to find some adventure around here since I recently moved here about a year ago..

I usually explore alone, but I am open to making new acquaintances around my area and beyond.

I will post some pictures on a new thread so I wont clog up this one.
