| | | My first post, so I just want to say Hi. I found this forum when doing a google search on tunnels in Vancouver. WICKED! I love exploring and looking at old stuff. I use to live in NS and my friend and use to get into abandon gold mines. I like how this forum works. You need to build up a rep. It's a good system. I will definitly keep myself updates. Cheers, Maj

| | | Hi! I'm from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. I'm not really new to the site or urban exploring, I'm just new to posting. I'm a photographer and i've always been intrigued by abandoned places, so that's why urban exploring is so interesting to me

| | | Hi everyone-This is my first post. I am a current/former explorer looking to get back into it. I have spent several years travelling north america, hopping trains, and living in abandoned buildings--churches, schools, former plantations, factories, schools, etc. I am currently living in the Bay Area and going to school-If there are any locals who want to get in touch, send me a message because I am always interested in finding new spots. | | | Can't tell you how cool it is to find this site! Now I can tell my girlfriend I'm NOT that weird, though reading some posts I'm beginning to wonder myself!! Been interested in the dilapidated, neglected, and abandoned crap all my life; married with my love of photography, there is no shortage of subjects here in South Carolina! Just finished tromping around the Asylum in Columbia this weekend, looking forward to a group outing hopefully soon! Now I'm off to find some interested participants!!!

| | | my nOOb story, I was in a book store about two years ago and was browsing a historical/fact book about my area. the book had a page or two regarding this old state hospital in northeastern PA..... yep, Byberry. I dont know why but for some reason this old, dark, scary, ethically questionable abandoned insane asylum consumed a great deal of my free time. I was inhaling information about P.S.H. by the dumpster full. this place absolutely intrigued me. but shortly after the responsibility of being a husband and father of two boys (5&3) coupled with the inconvenience of working to feed them, my interest in byberry took a backseat to reality until receipt of the news that the placed that sparked my interest in this whole UE world had been demolished.....before I had an opportunity to explore it. which is really sad figuring I live 20 minutes away. well here I am, a big kid in his mid thirties with a renewed interest in urban exploring. armed with Ninjs' book, targets, respirator, flashlight and a willingness to make new friends! I hope to cross paths with some of you folks under a city in an abandonment or on a high rise roof top. btw, i looked through some of the self photo threads and DAMN, there are some very hot female explorers here. (sorry.....couldnt help it) anyway.... HI !

| | | Hey everbody out there, I've just discovered this amazing sight the other day. I have been exploring and photographing this amazingly complex urban environment of ours pretty damn intensely for the last year or so. Its been taking up the majority of my time and I am very excited to have found such a large community of people that share a similar interest. Most of my time is currently being spent around the Bay Area, though I do get back to my hometown of Rochester from time to time. Hope to be able to contribute to this sight as much as possible. Thanks to everyone for putting something so brilliant together.

| | | Just a new member with an old fascination for the abandoned. I trained at the Kings Park School of Nursing in the 70s. Even then we were exploring closed and abandoned wards, clinics, housing sites on the grounds. Wierd and wonderful though we had no clue we were "urban explorers" and absolutely no idea of the potential hazards. It was a blast. Would love to find kindred spirits in No Cal for similar treks. | | | hey my "name" is aubery, i am very interested in history and i love old buildings. I am just getting into exploring. The weather is crappy so no go now.I work as a security technician so i already get to see the behind the scenes at work, so I am mostly interested in abandoned buildings. I also want to start some underground stuff.
We're here if only for a second and then, we're gone when we least expect it, so do more than survive, lets live like we're alive..... |
