Hello everybody. I'm a new member here,
was told about this site by a long time member. Thanks!
I'm hoping to meet some people in my area to explore with.
Yesterday I was mushroom hunting near an area that is
known for caves. A car parked next to mine and 4 people
headed down a path to some cool spot I haven't explored
yet. I don't like it when people I don't know want to talk to
Me about what I'm doing or tag along when I'm exploring
So I don't impose on other people I run into. Plus I'm just kinda
shy. If you see a guy while you're out exploring might be me,
Turtle.

Beaten paths are for beaten people.

Hey all

Been browsing here for several weeks and thought I would actually join up. I am a hobby photographer and need to be as working in the computer IT field has little to know creativity in it. My son actually re introduced me to exploring with his adventures in a local green house. Reminded me of the days I used to do the same. Now with the postings I am seeing here I have found that ember rekindled once again and am making note now of places that look worthy or exploring.

It saddens me to see places that have been tagged or ransacked as in my eyes it takes away from the spirit of the structures. Living where I am there are limited chances for exploring but i do feel road trips coming on.

Cheers and thanks to all the posters for the photos and inspiration.

Hello . New to this website . and this hobby sort of..... My friends an I have been enjoying what the world has to offer for about 6 years now . it started as a free hobby for the weekends and ended up becoming a way for us to take very inexpensive road trips to places. I would love to actually be a part of a group that explores and shares the passion that i do . Im from milwaukee was born and raised here love it here although it can become a little redundant at times.

Hi!

My name is Zhai. I'm 26, ex military and currently going to college. I've been urban exploring for about three years now. I haven't posted much/at all on here until now.

Anyway, I live in Rockville, Maryland. Willing to travel most anywhere when not going to classes. Just let me know!

Hello all!
I am fairly new to urban exploration and have had a blast so far. I have mostly been visiting old factories in my area and have gotten some great pictures! I have only explored inside one area factory, since they are all locked up pretty well! I am looking to expand my area and do some more exploring! Figured this was a good place to meet people with more knowledge in this area. I have begun to post some pictures my wife and I have done on Facebook (since I didn’t find this site yet!). Anyone in the South Bend/Michiana area please drop me a line on more places in the area! Thanks!

Hi all, new to site, not to UrbEX, although back when I started it was called trespassing, but the cops were much cooler as long as you didn't tear stuff up!
Been exploring probably close to 26 years, starting up north where I grew up (Shore of Connecticut - plenty of old houses/factories) Sure wish they had digital cameras back then, because I've been to some pretty cool places along the way - old mansions, houses, factories, bridges - a few NIKE sites. I also worked on Cellular/Paging sites, so tower sites were part of my job description, which left a lot of time to check out old stuff on the companies dime!

Now reside in S Charlotte area at the state line - VERY close to a well known abandonment and will post some good shoots as I start to explore the area here - found a few things I haven't seen posted around this area, so I am going to start with those.. More into the photography aspect now a days, and passing the passion along to my kids who are just getting their feet wet in UE..
Hope to contribute along the way and meet some other local UrbEX's to explore with

You can call me Java or the Pagemaster, either or.
Hey there. I'm a new member and just went to my second outing to Madison, WI and have only been to one other UE location, Gary, IN.

You can call me Java or the Pagemaster, either or.

I live in Chicago but have yet to explore any places out here, but next month I plan to go to a few places with people that I met up with in Madison. We went to some awesome places in Madison and, funny enough, it was also the first time that I was caught by the cops, luckily I got let go with a verbal warning.

If there are any explorers in the Chicagoland area that want to meet up, let me know! I'd love to get out and explore more.

I'm diehard, from Ottawa, ON. I'm 40, wife is 38. We've been interested in UE for a great many years, but never thought there were others who did this kind of thing other than vandals/taggers. Never actually built up the confidence to enter a structure, just visited ruins and such in the Ottawa area.

Looking forward to potentially meeting others, should there ever be an event in somewhere close to Ottawa.

Man, that was a long 72 hours! As the title says, I'm in San Antonio, I am a retired Army Scout. I haven't done any recreational exploring yet, but I took a few field trips through shit holes that make some of the sites I saw on here look like the Ritz

I noticed a group in Austin, hopefully I'll be able to hook up with them for a meet and greet! I followed a member of another forum I read over here for UE information, and will probably have my share of dumb questions, though I will do my best too keep my mouth shut and ears open for while.

I love that there is such a great resource for UE. Unfortunately I live in Middle Tennessee which,if you don't know,is about the worst place in the US for UE. Although i am aware of a few areas that one could explore, however I don't like being shot at and thats what happens in my neck of the woods. Thus if you are a Middle Tennessean who knows of any areas that one could explore and, whose owners don't have itchy trigger finger I would like to know. Thanks
-Tank

hmm.. middle TN.. I can think of a few things in that area.
