Greetings everyone,
I am new to U.E. and excited to be here. I found out about the site from my girlfriend. She suggested I check it out since I like to do photography. I recently moved down to Louisiana from Washington and I think this site will be a good way to network artistic leads and possibly make a few good friends. My personal hobbies are vast; a few are listed as follows. Water sports: kayaking, canoeing, boating, Outdoor activities: camping, hiking, etc. I am a big fan of music a few bands, The Black Keys, Lovett, Old 97’s, Roger Clyne & the Peace Makers, etc. Not so much into mainstream music but I am open to anything. For anybody in the Southern area I will be posting my first thread of a mill, sometime this week no later than Sunday the 8th so stay posted. Thank you for your time and happy hunting!

hey everyone,

my names Erro and im from Canberra, Australia. I started urbexing a couple of months ago and ive become pretty obsessed haha. i go about twice a week and the group of friends i go with has been getting larger and larger as more people have been hearing about it. My favourite is abandoned building and theres some really good ones here in canberra and ive also explored a lot of the drains. At the moment I'm pretty keen to contact anybody else who knows about urbexing in canberra so we can show eachother around. Also im going for a big trip to thailand, laos, cambodia, vietnam and china in a few days so id really appreciate it if anyone that knows about urbexing in those areas could contact me. Ive also made my own map of the canberra area which also lists some of the places that i havnt yet seen but plan to. the link is here > http://maps.google...dfba4d8ede&t=h&z=9

Hi, I am Anthony, from the Franklinton, Louisiana, I am new to this site, but have been doing UE for a good while, I usually go with a full member that I have known for a long time that lives pretty close to me, I'm always scoping new places out when I am working since it allows me to travel around quite a bit.

Myself and medicpathetic has hit multiple sites together.

Hello.

I am Kitten of Doom, and I am in Melbourne, Australia.

In addition to urbex, I like photography (all kinds esp. film), music, thunderstorms, psychology, cats, and sparkly things. And anything edible that is banana-flavoured.

My music taste is a bit schizophrenic; it can jump from doom metal to dubstep, with a bit of trance, trip-hop, rap and country thrown in for good measure.

I have photos on flickr, probably a third of them are UE-related.

Hey I'm Jason

I'm new to the site but I've been doing this kind of exploring for a while now. I'm an architecture student in University city in Philly and I love checking out some of the old buildings in the area. So far I've found, explored, and cataloged almost a dozen places of interest within the city and would love to find out what other ones there are and share the ones I've come across so far.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but not to UE. I've been an active Backpacker, Kayaker, Climber, and all around adventurer most of my life. I fell in love with urban decay, and general urban exploration once I moved to Minneapolis. There's so much history that goes unappreciated, and it's thrilling to know that so many of us are out there trying to enjoy these places. As of late I've been trying my hand at photography, which is bringing me to some incredible places.
I joined the forum primarily to meet some new people with similar interests and with whom I can enjoy some great adventures. I hope to meet many new people from the Twin Cities and beyond. I also look forward to attending any conventions I can. I look forward to talking and exploring with many of you. Please feel free to message me and we can begin some great explorations.

Give me poo or give me death. From Antwerp to MSP if it's underground you'll find me there

Hey everyone,

I guess it is finally time to do this after lurking in the shadows for 5 years....

I have recently moved to Windsor from BC, and am stating to become more active in exploring. I have only been out on a couple.. adventures.. since arriving here. So any pointers are also appreciated.

The buildings that are here really tickle my fancy, Ontario has such an old history, much older than the wild west. I have a thing for old architecture specifically brick buildings from the 1800's - 1920's. Something about them is so rich. Back in BC the majority of the buildings that were built 'back in the day' well at least the part of BC I was in, were wood structures, and over the years and they occasional forest fire, the buildings tend to disappear.

Anyway, back on topic.

Some of my interests include, the obvious old brick buildings. As well as schools, hospitals, public buildings, tunnels, bridges, etc. etc. I consider my self more in it for the history, rather than the photography. You wont see many pictures from me, and the ones you do don't expect anything all that great in comparison to some of the other awesome pics I have seen on here. Wow, just wow!

I love going into a building and finding out what is what, how did this work, what was its purpose. Then researching, and researching, and a little more research on a location. ie: Michigan Central Station - I have not stopped reading up on this place, and have yet to visit.

I consider my self to be very respectful of a location, you will never have to worry about me with a can of spray paint, or breaking things, this is not what I am about - I am there to visit the structure, and find out as much as I can. I believe the structure should be preserved, not destroyed. I also like to explore with like minded people as well.

If you are in the Windsor area, and would like to check some things out, or even show me around, drop me a line!

Whats that in the darkness?

greetings from another newb I've always enjoyed poking into odd places although I never knew there was a name for it. I've been playing with photography for the last little bit and the idea of combining the two sounds like something I want to investigate. I must admit that I'm wracking my brain a bit to figure out how to get into some of these places without ending up as a statistic or hiring a motorcycle gang for protection. I'm in Northern Virginia and I'd love to see the insides of some of the beautiful old row houses in DC.

I've been enjoying the incredible photography posted here. I look forward to seeing more of it. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to add to it. For now, until I find a gem to add here, my photography is available at my site www.ravenfeather.com

Greetings from the East Bay! My name is Rick, and I'm a Suburban Spelunker (that's what I called this thing of ours before I knew it had a name, just like I used to refer to Goths as "necrochondriacs").

New to the UE "community", but not new to UE, been into this for 20 years or so. Mostly I'm a solo spelunker, preferring to keep my secret spots secret (sadly, most of them aren't secret anymore/are gone completely/are now no longer abandoned/etc. I guess you all know all the stories by now!

I've worked in a construction/demolition related field and that has clued me in to a lot of cool spots like Pinole Point/Hercules Powder Works, Mare Island (haven't been out there in a while, but last time I was there one could spend a week and not see everything), the old restaurant that was in Walnut Creek that burned down (I was actually there the night it burned, a few hours before).

Cool to see there are other explorers!

Anyone living in the KY/TN area or the greater Boston area (for the next couple of weeks) that'd like to collaborate or meet up send me a pm. I am not new to this at all but I've been out of the game for about two years due to my job and most of my favorite spots in Mass are gone sadly. I am completly new to Kentucky though so if anyone wants to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

So here's another one joining the European squad. Am living in Frankfurt am Main/Germany and (partly) in Vienna/Austria (depends on my mood and budget). Startet Exploring like a couple of months ago and am really starting to get in the mood ;)

Always had a fascination for the old, rotten and forgotten and now am living out this one.

Well, what else to say about me... Yeah, as soon as i get my motorbike up here to frankfurt exploring suddenly will going to be a lot more fun ;)

Anyway, if you'd like to get in contact with me for exploring togehter (am not yet the most experienced etc etc etc but still...) just pm me. would love to get to know fellow people, talk and explore!

Take care

Love what you did with the place!!!

RainyDay Here, I've always been really interested in UE and I'm glad I've found this community. I'm looking forward to contributing my first experiences to the site and hopefully making some new friends along the way.

OH! I almost forgot I live in the GTA in Ontario so I'm hoping to come to a few monthly meets eventually. (Doesn't look like I can come this month though.)
