What up,

Just wondering if anybody has any good suggestions for some locations in and around Raleigh, NC and Chapel Hill, NC (pretty much anything in the triangle). Let me know anything you got.

Thanks,
Faze

if you hit chapel hill on a good day there are some buildings on campus you can get into - not necessarily abandoned but definitely of historical note. also fun to evade the authorities...

Why don't you let us know what you got, instead of asking for handouts on your very first post?

I'm actually scouting downtown Raleigh this upcoming weekend. There used to be a couple of historic, unoccupied and boarded up buildings I wanted to get a closer look at. This was a few years back though so I don't know if they have been reclaimed at this time. If I do find anything of note, we'll talk about possibly hooking up.

I will be scouting Downtown this Saturday. ABC'S Extreme Home Makeover is shooting in Downtown this Saturday. There are a couple of Abandoned buildings over by Western Blvd that have my interest.

There used to be the Plantation Inn on capital blvd... But of course they tore it down. I have also heard of an abandoned air field in Garner nc. I have yet to go there and check it out though.

A lot of buildings I know of that used to be abandoned have been reclaimed in the past few years, especially heading into the heart of downtown... but I'm going to head down tomorrow to see what's left and looks do-able. I'll try to put down the locations soon.

Years ago (1969) you could get into the steam tunnels under the NCSU campus. One entrance is in the pedestrian tunnel under the railroad between North and South campus near the student bookstore; the tunnel that gets painted all the time.

I expect the campus police are a little more uptight about people breaking in there now-a-days.

The old air field is now gone, its being turned into a golf course and country club

yes.. the plantation inn is a strip mall now, well, the land where it used to sit is now a strip mall.

The old air field is long gone (wasnt that much to see anyway, just an old runway).

I've also been out looking around for locations to explore. I went out yesterday looking for places but was unsuccessful. I hope Dix closes down soon so I can get over there to check out those buildings.

L8models, where on western blvd have you seen places of interest. I went down western a little ways yesterday but couldnt find anything.

Also if any of you guys come across something interesting in the area, please share. Im looking to add to my photography collection.

I'll be heading to Charlotte one of the upcoming weekends and plan to head over to Concord for a site my brother found. Hopefully I can get some pictures to share with you guys and get a better idea of where this place is, so I can share.
