If you were ever thinking of taking a picture of an airport or anywhere near an airport while UEing, don't. Only bad things will happen to you.

I've taken pictures at, around, and inside airports before, nobody ever seemed to care, and this was post 9-11. I have however been told numerous times by police and security that I wasn't allowed to taske pictures in a shopping mall. when I asked why I got the "well with terrorists and all" speech. Go figure, our malls are "safe" but our airports aren't.

hahaha, a significant difference

I have always figured that the insides of airports are where families see each other off and therefore pictures are given. I'm talking insides, but not the inside insides of course. Hong Kong's airport is the only one I can recall seeing signs posted explicitly.

Nice dress uniforms. It looks like there starting to get serious about terrorists in Canada. I was wondering how long it would be. Oh hell, it's not just airports...

Airports definetly got some wierd shit goin on..... when i was on tour in Japan and Hawaii in MAY.... airports always had a problem w/ me having a camera dangling off my shoulder..... i'd constantly be taunted by security guards coming up and saying "Dont take any pictures in here" ... i just wanted to do the good ole american quote "FUCK YOU! I have rights" in which i do but that just causes bad things.... but yano its always nice to keep a camera handy incase... yano someone gets shot... or theres maybe actually a terrorist hold up in the airport..... well shit whose got a camera handy huh?? I can make money off that shit... so thats why i always have one

and this is another photographer who had his camera ready for anything......

I recall someone, i can't remember who, on here saying something like, "I'd be more scared of a person whose camera i can't see, as opposed to someone holding a $400 camera and tripod"...
It's a good point(as i said to him on that post), so i'd imagine i'd give that speech to a law official of some sort.

... i just wanted to do the good ole american quote "FUCK YOU! I have rights"

* Why don't you do that then?
* If you do the math, "Terrorism" is not so scary. It is scary because it is such a quick and catastrophic act.
* 9/11 killed slightly less than 4000 people YET drunk drivers kill 5 times that number here in the us per annum and distracted drivers may be responsible for 10,000 deaths a year.
* Given that calculus - what rights are you willing to surrender to be safe from extremist attack vice what rights are you willing to surrender to be safe from drunken drivers?

you mean like this:

* That is AN-124 in an Volga-Dneper Airlines paint scheme, see nose below.
* You Canadians and your love of Russian aircraft! :) Cannot beat cheap I guess.
* I guess you do sorta' share a common border too. . . .
* Seriously though, the US also contracts a LOT of strategic lift out to FSU entities. In a past life I loaded military gear onto AeroFlot strategic lift planes to be carried overseas. The inside of the planes is pretty amazing - wood decking, hemp rope. . . . very utilitarian.
