I've looked over these photos like a hundred times and I really have no idea what this room could have been used for. SOME things I have thought of though, is that A) the chair may not have even been original to that little room. Someone (ie a previous UEer) may have moved it there for whatever purpose. and B ) that since it is in the barn it may have been used to store chemicals and pesticides to keep out of reach of children, and barnyard animals. And that the vent was to allow some air ventilation to the chemicals so they didnt heat up and explode.

I think the chemical/pesticide idea may be a possibility. But i'm 150% sure that we're the first UE'ers in this place

You mean kept the gimp.

As it's obvious d.scrib let the gimp out.

Yeah I was thinking some kind of Amish torture chamber. Forcing people to sit in a rocking chair and sweat for days on end. The Amish can be brutal.

It probably was a store-room. Unless you found shackles or something. If deranged farm type people are going to keep victims in a makeshift jail cell they're probably going to do a better job of soundproofing the walls and door.

Hello all!

This will be my first post on the site.

I have an unlikely but possible alternative. Could it be a faraday cage?

http://en.wikipedi.../wiki/Faraday_cage

I can't tell if there was room in their for a workbench or if power was available. It could have been a hideaway for an amateur radio enthusiast to fine tune his toys.

If you ever go back there, I'll bet you a dollar that if you step inside it, and close the door, (Have someone you can trust nearby to make sure you don't get locked inside)that your cell phone will not get any signal.

Of course, this is probably a moot point by now, but hopefully interesting none the less.

For what it's worth, I vote for the feed/chemical storage.
