As an avid scuba diver, I would love the chance to get into a place like that and look around. I would imagine all the silt would quite quickly take the visibility down to zero, which would be great for setting off the grenades. Interestingly it was the underwater aspect which particularly got me, as I scuba a bit too (wreck diving is just very soggy UE in my view). They were all found back asphyxiated, although they never found the source they suggested that old boobytraps with lethal gas (probably a blue-cross gas) were concealed in the ceiling of the tunnelsystem by the retreating SS division (who were in charge of the V2 rockets).
