|  | | | My Dad and I have been visiting this house regularily for the past week or so (The green Camaro out front once in a while, that's mine).
The address is 1913 Baseline Rd., Courtice (Bowmanville? It's close) and it was built in 1812 by John W. Trull and his Wife Lydia Trull (She's a doctor, there's a school named after her... insert more boring information here)
Anyway, our neighbour is a real estate agent helping in our hunt for information.
What we know is that it is owned by a Steel Company out of the Toronto/Scarborough/Mississuaga something area. It was put on the market in 1999 for $1.1 million (The house and 60 surrounding acres) and was bought in 2001 for around $625,000.
The company has done NO development anywhere on the property. My Dad and I checked out the house and took pictures planning on the house being destroyed (by a bulldozer or by the arsonist that took down the Villa down the street).
I'd like to know what ever anyone else knows. Regarding the history of the house, current status, anything.
My Dad and I really REALLY want to get our hands on this house and completely re-build it from the foundation up. Keeping it original, of course.
I'd love to hear any information that you might have... and hopefully, I didn't repeat anything too boring for you.

And I haven't been to that house... I'm not 100% sure which one it is, but if it's the one that I'm thinking of...
Is it white, a little bungalow right on top of the hill, inbetween Trulls and Prestonvale Rd? If it is, that house isn't haunted and there's no exciting story behind it... at least not that I know of... a killing would have been in the paper, and there were people living in that house last summer. They used to call the cops when we dirtbiked in the field behind their house... lol

I figured that when I joined.
Which is why I shared all the information that I already had, both what I got from my real estate agent and what I found on the Internet.
I know the current status of the house, and a bit of the history... but I was just hoping someone might know more...

I just happened to have a book with the info sitting beside me so I scanned them. Voila! I'd have done the same thing even if chevygirl wasn't some killah babe. It's about the community here - if I have the info, I post it -- if I don't, I don't post it.

In general....looking not very far back, most open requests for info get flamed with find your own damn info or get off your a$$ and do it yourself.

I think a lot of the people getting flamed are being too lazy about seeking out UE Locations or just lazing around tolling for people to tell them how to get in, rather than the challenge of seeing if they can gain access themselves.
I see no reason for people to be flamed for posts like chevygirls where they are saying they have found some information but want to know if anyone else has different or additional information, that should be cool, because we all have different data and books and information at our disposal, its quite remarkable what the collective library of UER members can provide if someone is really looking for information.

Same here. I offered what help I could cause it seemed like she'd done her homework already and wasn't just asking for help from someone who'd already done the legwork.
She is cute but that didn't have any effect on my willingness to help.

Nope, already been turned down. But that's ok. I'm sure if I ever did,which is doubtful, it won't be because of my looks. I'm not young and pretty with big boobs.
