Welcome.

Forgive me for asking, but.. where exactly are you performing UE that people are shooting at you??

I love an abandoned factory or school as much as the next person here.. but I suspect I would refrain from participating if it involved dodging sprays of gunfire.

TMiB

I was thinking what if someone stumbles across a chop shop, drug lab, grow operation, etc. Gun fire is entirely likely, that is provided that the wrong person hears one of ours slip up on the noise issue, or concealment issue. I didn't read the entire post, so if this was covered well forgive me.
And if you need to hide, somewhere above the normal field of view is the best place to hide. Hide where most people don't look.

one imagines that forest camo will stick out a bit when the policemans spotlight scans over you in a dark warehouse. One assumes that he might notice the tree coloured humanoid shape in the corner.

Now THAT'S funny!!

Greetings Sanguinarian. Noticed that you have been registered for two days and all of your posts have been on this thread. When someone new shows up here, I run a post search on them, check out thier web site, in short...see where they have been and what they have done. You cant expect to show up without a track record and expect to be taken seriously.

Wow... Isn't it obvious that I wouldn't have had many posts considering I did just register a few days ago? But that means that nothing I say matters? You fucking self-absorbed pricks. I could have come in saying I've been UEing and participating in related professional training for longer than you knew UE existed. But I didn't, all I did was post a couple tips. Suggestions from experience. Nowhere did I say 'You have to do it this way or you're a tool' or 'you morons don't know anything heres how you do it'. And yet thats exactly the way some of you are acting! Instead of welcoming a new member and replying with your experiences on related material, you act like fuckin trolls, throwing your 'uer.ca forum' experience all over the place, disecting a post because you don't use camo (which I wasn't talking about) and thusly if someone does use camo they must be a Sam Fisher wannabe flamer. Just because you knew about this website before I did, and registered who gives a fuck earlier than me, that means that I can't 'expect to be taken seriously'? What sadness. As far as I knew the Title of this section is 'UE Tutorials, Lessons, and Useful Info' It seems more like 'Post with personal experience here, and if one of the assholes doesn't agree, you'll be flamed'.

All I can say is that I'm done with this thread. Grow up people.

All well and good, but a simple search would have shown that the topic of camouflage and concealment is nothing new here.

WTF indeed.

I must agree also with the incredible mastery of the use of the fuck word. Not even 'Dukes posts had that kind of stinging wit in them. Yeah, really something special. Wow.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

This thread makes me happy.

Welcome, to Uer.ca Sanguinarian.

You might have came into the forum sounding awful, and then the last reply didn't help. Don't take one person's action as the whole forums response to your thread, however it was pretty funny, you have to admit that.

Sanguinarian, welcome.

Yeah, the gunfire thing kinda did throw me off when I first read it, but it is a valid, albeit unlikely, concern. I'm from Rochester, NY though, so I'm far more likely to get shot while going to get gas than when UEing. :p

I explore gray cargo pants, and a black t-shirt or sweatshirt. If my pants were just a shade or two darker, I guess it could appear that I'm trying to dress like a fucking ninja, but I dress like that every day. You raised some good points as far as the pros and cons of certain colors and dress styles. Thanks.

Really? Ever find anything interesting in there? I'd love to see some pics!

I tend to explore old buildings more, personally!

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

i try as hard as possible to be invisible unnoticed and undetected. thats why i kinda hate going with more than 2 other people, especially if theyre inexperienced.

what i pay attention to the most is quick unnoticed entry and exit. if youre on a road that has any degree of car/pedestrian traffic i make sure to walk together with the people im with (i hate stragglers on the way in and out) and walk with purpose and swiftness, but never to the point of sketchyness. think about it this way: as soon as you take your first step that is trespassing, a cop could become curious. and the longer you are seen not on the sidewalks/any other acceptable place to be seen, the more risk you have of being noticed. if i step onto the sidewalk but i still have people 10 feet behind me looking at their pictures/whatever, and someone sees them walking behind me but still on the property, theyre gonna wonder about both of us. if the entrance is roadside, you gotta make sure everyone knows exactly where the entrance is and how theyre going to go about getting in that entrance. once youre inside the place/out of sight, you can take all the time you want. but i also hate splitting at larger sites because when im walking around, i try to take notice of and evaluate each and every sound to make sure its not something to worry about, security, crackheads, etc. and if i did suspect anything suspicious, i would hate to have to call out to make sure of friend or foe because it would be giving up my edge of secrecy. namean? so i try to stick together, and it can be hard if you go with someone who's setting up shots with a tripod and youre just trying to document, see the sights and be out and safe. unless i know the spot really well and know i can spend as much time as i want, im trying to get in and get out, because thats all towards lowering the risk factor. the cover of night can be very helpful, but using it raises, all new risks of its own. so basically im most about keeping the risk factor down. protect your freedom first and foremost.

Um.. not that I particularly mind or anything... but why did your post end with a completely incongruous picture of a young lady in a mini-skirt and bra?
