ok last night i stayed up getting history on this place.it is called sunny acres.it was built in 1927-28 as an orphanage funds where raised by the world famous ""monday club""(basicly rich people who ran shit).arround 1950-55 it became property of the county offices who turned it into a juvinile hall.putting all the children in what is now foster care.
ok ok ill get to the pics they suck cause my cam cost 15 dollars

walking up to the acres

top floor windows i think i cant see my pics until i post so i can only guess i wasent gonna name 60 pics diffrent names

ok i cant explain this i was gonna take a pic of the basketball courts when a huge gust of wind hit me form the side but i was less than 2 feet from the building shouldent that block the wind?then i get home and the pick is purple ??

i found this halirous this fountan is like 2.5 feet tall cause this tree is smashing it slowly but the porclin dish isnt broken. the tree must be thursty
in side the best i could the immage says brain freeze the guys holdin a slurpy
goin home

all in all it was worth going back during the day i found the smokes i lost last night and got pics that accually came out
let me know what you guys think?

These are actually fantastic photos. I don't think the point of every photo set is microscopic analysis of the minutiae one finds. These are very creepy in their mundanity.

FYI, bro...

Unless something has changed since last time I was there, access is easy. At least, unless you're a lot wider than I am (I'm 6'1" and 180 or so..)

I don't want to spoil it for you and tell you how I got in, but if you get seriously stuck, let me know and I'll give you hints...

For now the only hint I'll give you is that I didn't enter through a door, window, or hole in the roof. And I can't walk through walls.

i aint goin in there without a respirator anyways. this place is so packed with asbestos they wouldnt pay 100 DOLLARS to get it torn down, this place is a biohazard, and i quote "the city of san luis obispo was offerd a bid for the demolition of the old sunny acres orphanage-juvenile hall bid, 100 dollars. why a bid this low ?, the bricks alone are worth 2 million dollars to the contractor who bid the job. why are the bricks worth 2 million you ask? they are a type of brick which is no longer made purchased from the PORT COSTA BRICK YARD in port costa ca, the bricks where floated down the coast and to san luis harbor by barge for $34,000"
just a tid bit of what i learned about san luis, but to my point ive already been in on the top and bottom floors. i only had a bandanna on my face and when i left i had trouble breathing on my lovely 3 mile walk home. so when i got home and realized all the pics i tried to get(but didnt show cause my cam sucks)and my fucked up lungs, where a good indication that i need to bee better equiped for the situation(new cam,respirators/masks) but yah theres my explanation, which took me for ever thanks to this damm punctation bull shi happy.........!!!!!!!

can you edit your post and put a
<br>
between each one?

Or even just a return or something, so the page isn't 5 miles wide.

Anyway. The inside isn't as interesting as it sounds, though it has some neat cells etc. Watch out for the buildings around the property, your very close to the slo probation office i think.

Well, other than bending my mind by having an 80 inch wide post, not too bad. Considering the quality of your camera, the pics aren't that bad. Let us know when you figure out how to get in.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

Been inside, the roof was first access point, a bit of a climb but I didn't have to make it (I had a friend who was able to kick out a boarded window, unfortunately it was made more difficult the second time the roof was no longer an option since they had heavily reinforced all the holes...were there is a will there is a way

Yeah no resperator but I like to live dangerously, just try not to kick up too much dust and don't fuck with the walls too much and you'll be ok.

But this is what you will find inside...

well maybe with a bit of photoshop...here is an unshopped pic of the stirs leading to the second floor.

This place is dark...all the windows being boarded up and all, so bring a maglight

I wonder if yahoos kicking out boarded windows had anything to do with it being secured more tightly?!

What the hell? I was thinking about going here, but forget it now.

Weve all gotta make a trip from SoCal to this place. We dont have many east coast style things around here, so id like to take advantage of this place.
