| | | I was last there 10 years ago, and was fairly loaded when we went there, but I'm thinking it's these storage tanks at the corner of Overhulse and Evergreen Parkway. http://tinyurl.com/esowy

| | | This might be a long shot, but I'm heading back up in a month for school and am trying to find out info on a variety of sites before I get up there. Anyone know anything about Scurlock's treehouse? All I know is that it exists. Trying to find out more about general location, feasibility, the usual. PM me with any details you don't want people to find on a google search.

When I was there in 1992 the house and walkways were still in pretty good shape. No idea if it's still standing. The lot was sold years ago after Scurlock's suicide in 1996. It was on Overhulse road, on the eastern side of the campus (towards the housing development along the water where a lot of profs seem to live.) You could see the treehouse from the trail on the way to the nude beach. You can see pictures of it here, http://books.googl...GauONGrWmvntxl35Ws http://books.googl...XwUugX3k3FbbYu5lX8

You probably want to be more careful about posting this stuff in public threads. It can (and will) be found by a google search. With that said, thanks for the info. [last edit 8/23/2006 6:44 PM by Fae - edited 1 times]

| | | Well, it's not really secret. It was on my freshman orientation tour of the campus when I was a Greener. Right after they showed us the field where Matt Groening and Lynda Barry had set up a teepee. Ann Rule gave its address in her book about Scurlock. In any case, I'd be interested to hear if it's still there. [last edit 8/23/2006 8:51 PM by pixel23 - edited 1 times]

I think that's even a part of the mythos surrounding it: no one who hasn't been there knows.

| | | Does anyone have pictures of the tunnels or happyland they'd like to share? I attended Camp Everygroovy (aka The Evergreen State College) for a year before the rain and my lack of productivity drove me back to the sun of California. Anyways would love to see some pics, I had heard about the tunnels and happyland while I was there, but never got around to getting in them, we mostly checked out rooftops and other structures in wood nearby. thanks!

| | | Anyone have any experience with the Old Olympia Brewery? I'm going to try and go tomorrow morning, though I hear security is tight. Tell me what you know! I'll post pics and a trip report when I get back. [last edit 4/8/2007 6:38 AM by Fae - edited 1 times]

Have you been in? Any idea why it's so heavily guarded?

| | | The original Olympia Brewery is used as storage for the current brewery, it really doesnt look like it but it is. It's mostly old equipment but between the fact that it's active storage, a historic landmark and the property is worth around Five Million dollars I understand the security. Also, never had a chance to go in but that was due to security and 30* weather.
