Sullivans Island (SC) Tunnels.

So I have heard some, and read alittle more about them on this site, about the Tunnels connecting the smaller forts on Sullivan's Island. I am new the the concept of an organized Urban Exploration community, I always thought it was organized that we could get 4 people in a Jeep to go out to spots we had found the previous weekend.

So my question to this community, is does anyone have any more information on these tunnels? Are any still passable? Where about should I look for entrances still open (exact locations would ruin some of the fun)?

Any information anyone can offer on this would be appreciated.

I imagine Fort Moultrie would probably be a good place to start, there's an abandoned battery/bunker pretty close to Battery Jasper.

Buildings have two natural enemies- water, and bears.

Heres a few pictures I took of Battery Logan at Fort Moultrie yesterday. Theres a few other run down batteries on the island too but they're being used for fire department training.

The original fort on Sullivan's island was called Fort Sullivan, the name was changed, I think, after the revolutionary war.

Looks like the one down in beaufort. I have heard Fort Sullivens has some flooded tunnels, but not sure.
