|  | | | Hello, everyone. I'm new to this thread and am interested in exploration in all of the above areas, especially in Portsmouth, where I live.
As I'm sure anyone from this area knows, there are a lot of old and abandoned buildings in P-town. There are several dilapidated, centuries-old buildings right in Olde Towne. There are also several unused railroad tracks and roads that I'd love to see up close.
I grew up in King George and know of many abandoned/vacant structures, roads and bridges in that area. There is a particular site in Fredericksburg that I'm interested in: the site of the old dance hall/casino on Scotts Island, if there's anything left of it.
I'm wondering if anyone is interested in getting together to explore some of these areas, or maybe even forming a regular group. Some of these places are a little shady so I wouldn't want to go there alone. My husband and friends are usually working when I'm available (plus they don't possess the rabid curiosity that I do!).
Anyone who's interested or has some other ideas, let me know!

|  | | | yea we need a group around here I live in Norfolk and can never find people to go out and explore with so lets get it going. I have already talked to a few people in the area that are on this site as well and we should all get in on this. I will be free to go anywhere this saturday so if anyone wants to do this tell me now so I can start planning.

| | | | School won't be out for me, I'll be in summer school...but I'll have Fridays off and weekends. I'd love to visit anywhere at any time on the weekends.
