Some of my pictures of the naval academy and its surrounding abandonments.
(They are sized down by about 70 percent)

I figured i should post the artsy ones first...

Now here are ones that i didnt mess with...o by the way, after my trip i drove past the opening to the naval academy and noticed that in the abandoned house to the right of the opening had its kitchen light on. The stuff inside that house is newer than any other place, and the last date i saw was 1999 (one calendar that said Dec and one that said July), which was when the state bought the land.

Did you find the water treatment plant on the 1000+ acres? How about the boxing ring!

Cool pics. Not many people from this site have ventured to the navy base side.

No i wasnt able to find the boxing ring or the water treatment plant, it started to get dark and my friend had a night class. I wanna go back sometime and take like gas scooters back there to get around, those roads are long. I saw a map in the one abandoned crew quarters that showed more buildings around. Where was the ring and the treatment plant?

We did manage to WLL (satellite image) it and find out that the Tome School is, or seems, to be right on that property as well.

When i was at the Tome School, i was amazed at the building with the stage and seats. The foyer to that building was amazing. I looked at your pictures of the place before i went and was trying to find the gym, but didnt realize that it was behind one of the buildings i didnt get to explore. It got dark fast, so we had to trek through the woods to get back. I will post a new thread with pictures i took from there to. One more thing, i saw new construction equipment by the building all the way in the back, dont know if they plan to restore the buildings or what. Ill save my pics for a new thread...

Very cool pix. I really like the one with the telephone post and the shot of the sky. The clouds are so dark and brooding. A very sinister, moody scene if I do say so myself? Out of curiosity, what/where is this place? I've never heard of it. Feel free to PM if you dont want to risk exposure. Thanks!

The town that you ride through to get there is cool, in a strange way. I ate at one of the restaurants after i hit up the school. Dude that hill was steep!
