| | UE in Virginia Beach? < on 4/11/2006 10:44 PM >
| | | Hey, I just moved here from California and am trying to see if there are any UEs in the area. I've been poking around the abandoned post office on Atlantic and 24th recently but the guys over at the pizza place are getting suspicious. So, anyone around and know of any other UE areas?

| | | Thanks for seeking other explorers on UER, enjoy your stay. A tip that will make your visits here much more enjoyable, and way more beneficial to you as well as us is not to ask for "free" information. It appears you have the ability to go out and scout a location, this is good. The many folks here at good ol' UER have worked very hard at finding their own locations and do not just handout lists of said locations to just anyone. Even though you have limited access to the site, you should be able to do a little leg work of your own. You live in a decent area, it shouldn't be hard to find a place to explore. Take some pics and post them here. Read the forums and do some searching, you'll find the answer. [last edit 4/11/2006 11:16 PM by Explorer H - edited 1 times]

| | | Hey I live in Norfolk VA witch is like 5 min from VA beach and I am always looking for people to explore with. But I will tell you that Virginia Beach doesnt have much thats worth looking at. Try another city thats close to you and look in the industrial areas or in areas of woods thats are fenced in thats where I find allot of new places

| | | I wouldn't even bother trying to check that place out during tourist season. There are more cops per square foot on the ocean front than any place i've been too.

| | | I'd imagine VA Beach might have some drains, if you're into that sort of thing. Except, since it's coastal, you've got to worry about tides and stuff.
You can't fall off a mountain. |

| | | Hi, welcome to the area. I live in Portsmouth and there's a lot of places over here. P-town went through an economic decline in the mid-1900s [which it is only now beginning to climb out of] so there are lots of abandoned/vacant structures over here. I'm looking for people to explore with so if you or anyone else on here wants to get together, let me know. [I just put a thread up about this, it's called "Hampton Roads area, Fredericksburg, King George."] One place I'd like to see around here is the old P-town TCC campus. I know, it's been done before...but I've never seen it, so I'd like to check it out. And I agree with what the other person said about Va. Beach. It is really too developed to have any good abandoned sites. I'd suggest looking around on the Portsmouth side of the Elizabeth River. I've seen a lot of interesting places over here.

| | | Yeah, Explorer_H. Sorry if I gave off the wrong impression. I wasn't looking for a handout, just kinda getting a feeling for the area and the people in it. Looks like this is a great place to do just that.

No wrong impression taken. Welcome to the site and same to Sybercat. You have come to the right place for UE information, and it sounds like you guys are serious about being here. I look forward to reading about, and seeing pictures of, your meet up. My best friend lives in Hampton. Perhaps I need to visit him, and meet up with you guys as well. << >>
