I'm not entirely sure what this is, but I came across it the other day with Leravenn and Sctag1015. It's near a bridge that goes over the Oconee(?) river. We didn't have a camera then, so I went back and took some photos.
...and my favorite:
any guesses? i think it may have been part of a dam in the past.
