Embarrasing Failures

Last night, in downtown Memphis, the Adventure Squad was chased out of its UE venue by a uniformed parking attendant. No member of the Adventure Squad is under twenty four years of age. I think the parking attendant may have been seventeen. Needless to say, it hurts a little in the pride-ical area. Would anyone like to share some stories of similar mishaps? They might speed the squad's recovery.

Embarassedly,
CB of Adventure Squad

With a name like the "Adventure Squad", how could you let such a thing happen?

I was looking around a building in Toronto... (years ago, I think i was 15 or 16) I found an open door, all I had to do was find my way onto a loading dock. I couldn't. I never managed to get in.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

What can I say? The Adventure Squad had traumatic experiences with Parking Attendants in our young days. I guess we're scarred. Myself, I was beaten mercilessly with a coat hanger by one. I will NEVER park outside the lines again.

As far as the name goes, we wanted to be the A-team at first. But it lead to a lot of fights over who got to be Hannibal. Then we thought that the Monster Squad would be a good fit, but we were worried no one would get the reference. In the end we just split the difference.

Yes, it cannot be argued that Murdock is an unstoppable badass. So badass, in fact, that I think we were all a bit intimidated by the idea of trying to fill his shoes.

Being the comic-relief guy isn't always easy, especially when one is in an abandoned warehouse surrounded by Zombie Crackheads (see the thread on the Sears Building) The nice thing about being Hannibal is that you get to chomp cigars and say things like 'I love it when a plan comes together.'

If you're up to filling the Murdock slot please move to midtown Memphis without delay.

i was heading to one of the Nike Missile Bases on foot, after i parked my car, and i was about to hop the fence leading into it, when this old guy on a tractor yelled "Hey, get off of there". I just faced the other way and ran. The reason why i ran is because it was one of those older looking tractors. Like the old ass john deer ones, plus i seemed to be in a hillbilly neighborhood.

Hardly an embarrassing failure, friend. You just did the smart thing. If that guy had a tractor, then it's 50/50 he had shotgun.
