I'm not really sure but they were all hanging out together in this pasture.

And dangit! These all look washed-out on this monitor. I guess they need to be over-saturated before posting...

Great pics
I especially like the last one! The rusty red colour of those cars is almost orgasmic..

A Fodgerolet? Dodrolord? Chevordge?

Fantastic. The colors look ridiculous on my (pretty damn good) monitor. If you were having problems with saturation when you saved them off as jpegs and posted them it may be due to the color profile. Be sure they are in SRGB mode when you save them as jpegs. If they're not, convert them.

The 4th one is so nasty! I think some of that chrome may have dripped out of the screen, down on to my keyboard, and burned my hand! Sick shot.

5 is really good, 6 is another mind blower. The color of that rust in 6 is just insane. Whatever the color is right now is exactly what I would want. That shit is saturated right to the edge of oblivion but not over. Disgustingly good, I want to chew on that rust LOL.

9 and 11 are hot too.

Great work.

and burned my hand!

get some neosporin on that!

ha! thank you
i just got a dSLR and this is my first batch that wasn't shot on film. i do remember an option in the camera for the color mode, i'll check and see what it's set at. i wonder if it's photobucket that eats the color, because looking at the image here and the PS file side by side, they've definitely lost color. well that just means i get to shoot more and experiment!

What is interesting is how elements off the respective original cars are making their way back to new designs. Take that Chevy logo, looks almost identical to that on the new Chevy SSR:

That's a "retro" niche vehicle you say! Then there's this Ford grille...

that reminds me of...

You should probably be able to shoot SRGB and then keep it that way all through the process to avoid any problems converting. My Raw converter is Cap One and that keeps it in sRGB for Photoshop.
