Beautiful, just beautiful. You captured the hydroplant's feel very well. All that is missing is the sound of rushing water from the leaking penstock.

Did you find my golf ball while down there?

Beautiful shots. I wish I could have seen that place

Through the darkness of future's past
The magician longs to see
Once chants out between two worlds Fire, walk with me

Its still there, its not going anywhere fast. It would only take you an hour or so to get there.

I am definitely going to check it out, within a week or two! My camera died, I have a new one on order and that looks like a great place to try it out.

Awsome shots, as usual.
I'll have to go back during the day. I'm guessing it wasn't as humid/drippy downstairs? Last summer the water was literally pouring down that staircase all around the opening, with was like a waterfall tube you'd walk down.

Yep I was wondering how you were able to get that staircase shot so well. I assume because its just not very humid in the coldness of the winter.

When I went on the trip (same one scourge is talking about) we went on a horribly hot and humid night as it was. The humidity in the plant was insane. You could see the water in the air, and it was dripping down all around you in the basement levels.

That place is truly breathtaking, I as well hope to go back during the day. I wasn't able to experience the generator floor in daylight.

Hey, what a coincidence! I took that exact same shot over a month ago.

...

I was just about to mention that, that was one great photo. Square did a lot for it, as did the sunlight.

It was just a degree above freezing when we went.
The air was so still on the lower levels that I had to be careful about breathing near the camera, the mist from your breath just lingered in the air
Then I would have had all the spook hunters going “ I See a Ghost, I See A Ghost”

As I said before, the light really sucked big time
We went in before dawn just as it started to snow
It took forever for the light to come in

I really want to go back fore a nice clear dawn

what an amazing place. I happened to be watching something on the hydro-electric plants just the other day, and they truly did make them palaces to progress. you would never see something like that today

Nice set of pictures Nick, Its great to see that this place is still in good condition (Figuratively speaking) I was blown away by this place when I visited last year. I'd love to go back to get some decent pictures but its a bit far away for me!

Shots from my visit can be found here if anyone is interested. (http://abandoned-b...ion-niagra/IPP.htm)
