| | | man, two hours of wikipedia, google and questionable dictionaries gave me this: the stop sign bascially says "stand", the other one poses something of a challenge to me, I got to where the middlerow says "now stand" and the first (or last from our way of seeing it) character in the last row means "and". so I got "now stand and" out of it, dunno about the rest, I'll leave that to someone who really speaks arabic. Either way, what the signs say isn't all that hard to guess about - but why are they in arabic? I can see how maybe iraqis military persons have been put to be educated in a base here in the states or something of the likes? It's kinda freaky anyhow..

| | | how about they are there to familiarize our troops for when they go over to iraq.
I've seen them on bases i've been to for training, its rather common to have duplicate signs in english and arabic.

| | | Those signs were added prior to the Arab Summits that were held there. Those serves as indications/directions for the Arab (Israeli) Security personel of Ariel Sharon and other dignitaries. Sharon was there in Spring 2005.

| | | (19:13) <PsychoAri> it says Forbidden, no stopping and no parking (19:14) <PsychoAri> the sign is repetitive, the last two words mean practically teh same thing ^^Friend of mine, FYI [last edit 3/20/2006 12:15 AM by Yehoshua - edited 2 times]

| | | I had pretty much guessed the stop sign Aerial views of this part of the base show an airplane parked where there is no taxiway or runway and some buildings like trailers lined up in a parking lot

| | | Arab Speakers!?
We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit. |
