Yeah, that chick and her friend wandered into that building a few hours after some of us had just finished exploring it.
Frankly, I think she was an idiot. On her MySpace account, she says, "I like to get drunk and fuck shit up!" or something similar. Well, at least she died doing what she did best!
By the way, there are open holes all over the floors - kind of hard to miss, unless you're stupid, drunk, and without a flashlight (See: stupid).

Well she did a pretty good job on herself. I love someone that takes pride in what they do. She was doing what she loved till the end; fucking shit up! I adore stories with happy endings...or is that entrails? Guess I'm just a sentimental bastard.

Nice find. Drunk and got himself parished.
Maybe the same would have happened in daylight with him being sober, but I suspect his chances would have been better. So it really was a concrete beam that gave way, wow. Shit like that.

| | | | Yeah, these are actually to seperate cases. The first one is of the poor drunk party girl that fell and got herself killed in Bunge.
The second one is of a guy exploring Con-Agra who had the lousy luck of having a concrete beam collapse under him sending him to a horrible demise.
As for other Twin Cities deaths, I can only think of the kids who suffocated in some brew cave tunnels because some idiot lit a fire in the system which took out all the oxygen. The caves would've naturally aired out just fine if the city hadn't sealed the entrances first. When the kids got in (must've been slightly un-sealed) they got far enough into the tunnels without realising there wasn't any oxygen and then passed out and died. Pretty sad, really.

I apologize in advance for bringing this thread up again, but...
The four kids came out of the caves three times to "clear their lungs" and then RE-ENTERED the caves. Only one person made it out the fourth time. I agree that it was a sad thing, but you gotta use some common sense. I mean, c'mon.

And yeah, I highly doubt the fire dept. would do something so wreckless as train deep in sandstone tunnels.

If a fire is lit in a cave like that (with very little ventilation) because of sealed entrances, well it could take up to weeks to air out. And if it was in fact the SPFD who lit the fire, well, I don't think we'd ever know. Also, like Kat said, these kids repeatedly evacuated/entered the cave trying to catch their breaths, finally the succumbed to the Carbon monoxide. It's a sad case both for the kids and kids families, and also, to others who liked to explore these caves and other caves in the area (most were sealed after the incident).
