if im correct ive been hearing rumors of that place being torn down to build a new stadium but that rumor could also be false.

The Vikequeens stadium will be further north near 35w and Highway 10.

I know of a munitions plant here in st louis....but i have nevr been to it.

HOWEVER, I plan on trying to get in there sometime this month,
if not that then when it gets colder and gaurds (if any, never seen one), are less likely to patrol the locations.

I do, however, recomend picking up a geiger counter at an army surplus shop if you can, they are relatively cheap depending on where you buy em, and it's a great thing to have on urbexes....of course then you just start going out of your way to find stuff to set it off(they make the coolest little noises don't they????),

but that might just be me.

I would also pick up a set of kevlar coveralls(cheap from grainger, 15 bux a pop, keeps asbestos and other nasty things off as well as keeps you from getting cut), and a ventilated mask.

I just got an army gasmask to use..,.keeps the face mostly covered and also keeps me from getting sick from stuff....

but i have friends whom have been to the st louis one, i will see what they recommend for entry.

I've been around Badger legally thanks to some pulled strings, but I can tell you that while it's no longer owned by the army, it's still heavily guarded. Dairy Forage Research owns a lot of acreage there, and they don't want you to disturb the cows or whatever. Some really neat shit there, but it is being scrapped. And any question about explosive residue should be referred to the amount of Xs above the doors of the building. The more the Xs, the more dangerous, and vice versa. But keep in mind that ANY amount of explosive residue is dangerous. There's a reason they fired people who snuck cigs at ammo plants.

I work right next to the TCAAP in Arden Hills and have long wanted to explore, but they still do Military things there (along with, as the rumor goes, storing munitions under the facility) and they just built a Police Dept. right next to it off of Highway 96 and Hamline. Too bad, it looks to be a great place. I was surprised at the number of busted windows.

Everything you guys are pontificating about can be researched online and over the phone.
The plant mainly did castings and metal work and small arms manufacture.
Of note and concern to the explorer is that they produced depleted uranium (DU) rods for anti-armor sabots. DU is no joke and your used gasmask is not adequate protection from it.
No ammo is stored underneath the facility.
The national guard owns the rest, see picture.
I am sure you could get a tour if you asked and were very polite.
Try it.

Seeing that sneaking on will probably produce bad results such as trespassing on federal property, it's probably OK to tell a little about it. Perhaps asking nicely would be the best way. As for underground storage of explosives, very unlikely. If something explodes in a confined space it makes a much bigger mess; they won't have people above or around it. Testing ordinance underground maybe.

Yeah, I didn't really believe it at work when they told me. I figured it would be a lot more guarded. But what better place to store stuff than something that looks so run down?

Looks can be deceiving. The penalties are not, they are stiff. Even if you got in illegally and took pics, then what? Would you really want to post them? It probably is what it looks like, but the Feds are no fun to play with.

Yeah, it's why I haven't even bothered to try to get in. Like I said previously, the military is still there AND they just built a police station right next to it. As much as I would like to wander around there, I am not that stupid.

Yeah I know a guy that trains there, I fixed his bike. I'm sure getting on the grounds isn't a problem. As far as DU, it's the shit. If I ever needed to stop a tank at the shop, it's the first thing I'm reaching for. I say go for it, just run and hop the fence. I'm sure with enough ninja skilz you'll make it and not get caught and sent to a federal pound me in the ass prison. Ask Kevin Kelm about trespassing on fed property.......
