| | | hello there, new to the site, long time very amateur ue'r, done a few minor expeditions, concrete central, central terminal, ghost town at allegany state park.. just found the site, love what i have seen so far, but im wondering if anyone has done the aud, when it was still open, friends and i used to go in there all the time, due to a faulty door on the receiving dock side. now that i am alot older and wiser, i havent tried, but would love to see it now.

| | | hi I need some advice I'm just a bored college kid looking to do something other than going to a typical weekend party, I've never done any exploring of this kind and was wondering where I should start. Like, would I be in over my head if I was to try going solo in a place like the central terminal? any thoughts would be of help thanks.

1. If you're just a bored college kid looking for something to entertain you, go see a movie. If you are really interested in exploration, see #2. 2. Go to the Buffalo UE meets. It's a great way to meet locals and see some interesting things. There was one today you could have come to. 3. Leave BCT alone. Or, if you're just a bored college kid looking to pass some time, go to Canada, then turn around and try and sneak back into the states.
WTF indeed. |

| | | #2 please. sorry, I should have just left out that "bored college kid" line, didn't mean to come off as someone just looking to kill some time. I genuinely want to get into this, I thought this forum would be a good place to start and wished I saw this earlier today being that I would have loved to meet up and see some interesting places, especially since I live like a minute away from that Mighty Taco on Delaware and would've been willing to drive/pitch in money. If going to that BTC place is a bad idea, good enough reason for me not to go. Guess I'll just check back for new event listings. thanks

| | | you should leave the BCT alone because its being restored, and a lot of people are putting a lot of effort into it (some of whom are members of this site) and if thats not enough reason for you well its also locked up and alarmed like crazy. hang around, grab a camera and check out a few easy places first (grain silos make good rookie locations) and come to a meet to learn some more about it. welcome and enjoy

| | | fuzzyspoon, going to the Central Terminal is not a bad idea. The means by which you do so can be good or bad. Good if you request a tour through the appropriate channels, which there is rarely an issue with, bad if you do so without permission, because you would almost definitely be caught, and the ability to get a tour makes it pointless. If you're interested, there are some sites in Niagara Falls, NY and Buffalo that I could use help with.

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round... That has a couple of closely-related meanings, and no, we did not explore a bus terminal.
