| | MD school to close? < on 3/3/2006 3:08 AM >
| | | http://www.nbc4.com/news/7623824/detail.html "BETHESDA, Md. -- A battle is brewing over the future of Seven Locks Elementary School in Montgomery County. The school, located near the intersection of Seven Locks Road and Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda, has outgrown its students. Many parents are fighting the school system's plan to tear down the school and move it to a new location on Kendale Road. This week, Montgomery County Council Member Howard Denis introduced legislation to rebuild the school on its existing location, rather than move it a mile and a half away. The original plan called for building new homes on the site of the old Seven Locks School. Howard said his proposal gives the county another option. | | | It's a dinky-ass school. A couple of my friends went there... It would be really boring. No relics, no secret tunnels, no records. Everything would be cleared out. Oh, and power would be kept on. Motion detectors = bad. If it is demolished it will be quick, as houses around here go for $1 million+ easy.
