| | | I just joined up here and found this thread. A few years back I helped a friend set up a candle lit dinner in the Lemp caves. We of course had access through the brewery complex, and my friend knew people that were owners of the Haunted House they used to have there. It was still a pretty cool expedition, I'd love to find a way back in.

| | | Hey. I just moved to St. Louis 2 months ago from upstate NY. I've got rockclimbing and some caving experience, and I'd love to go check these caves out. PM me if you want someone who isn't a wild idiot to go with you.

| | | Gotta love Missouri (If you build a building, there is probably a cave below it)

| | | well after running across the lost caves of st louis info i havent got the book yet but i read up as much as i could and i tracted someone down that DID have access to the caverns underneath the lemp brewery but now its barracaded because of some ppl that broke in and accidently drop a window i guess this happen a few times and he got tired of replacing the window and the owner of the building caught windo of this and closed the access which the guy that i was talkin to didnt seem to mind that ppl broke in and went into the caves but the fact that they broke something and didnt appologize then he caught someone goin into i guess the drop in or something and then someone left the doors open and someone could have fallen in and been seriously injured but anyway take into consideration to be more careful and maybe these types of expeditions we all enjoy might be a little bit easier to do and on a new note i might be able to get ppl in the cave below the lemp brewery for a small fee this does not go into my pocket but the ppl that own the property i am goin to be contacting them soon and try to work something out so we can enjoy this evidently money talk and bull poop walks and they might except a donation???? | | | Uh. I'm so glad you "tracted" someone down and thanks so much for the story there that's really too bad about that broken window and yeah i'll totally give you a small fee in order to see the place and I'm so glad you'll give that fee to the people who own the property oh my gosh I can't do it no matter how hard to try to keep typing so I'm just gonna stop!

| | | the money wouldnt even touch my hands i figure the owners would prolly set up a damn admission booth so to speak lol i am still trying to make contact with them and also reading the book the lost caves of st louis there is an out side access to the cave that shouldnt involve breaking any laws and in theory if we entered the cave on public property ie. a manhole or some type of other access even if we did get caught i dont think they could charge someone with trespassing do to the fact that no one owns subterranian dwellings right? because me myself would rather enter free than pay some greedy asshole to see something that should free
