| | The last of the WSU tunnel videos... < on 2/13/2006 5:59 PM >
| | | Almost as promised, I've made available the rest of my video of the WSU utility tunnels. I say "almost", because I cut off the beginning and end to avoid revealing (or strongly suggesting, at least) the entrance and exit points. I added a few blips of commentary, a few bleeps of names, and a few blurs of faces. The end result is a video that's about 20 minutes long and over 100Mb in size. If you don't have a broadband internet connection, best forget about fetching it. Sorry. I can't stand crappy video, and this video was crappy enough (dark and grainy--the result of a decade of sitting on the shelf) without encoding for minimum size. The new video, map, and some never-before-released pictures (nothing too cool, though) are available on the site: http://silicon-arcana.com/molenet Enjoy, -MoleNet94

I'm not sure, no. Though I've been back to Pullman several times since graduating in 1998, I haven't checked out the tunnels since early 1997. [entry details removed -nb] The covers all have chains hanging from them which are typically locked to the ladder some ways down inside. Still, we found that several could be lifted enough to permit the...sufficiently interested person...to slide them aside and squeeze down the crescent-shaped hole that resulted. After all this time, your mileage may vary! Very occasionally we would exit from manholes too, but usually exited via building basements. Out of dozens of such excursions, I think we were only ever spotted once, and that was by a janitor working late in one of the buildings we exited from. He had headphones on and didn't even seem to care (or didn't notice that the door we'd just come out of said "Mech. Rm." on the placard Regards, -MoleNet94 [last edit 3/6/2006 5:18 PM by nightbird - edited 1 times]

| | | What's with the "entry details removed"? I thought my comments were pretty general considering the subject matter. Drainers frequently post pictures of outfalls but just don't post the locations. I didn't even go *that* far (no pictures OR locations). Granted, we are talking about a school, which narrows it down to a few square miles Oh well. If my post was too much of a giveaway, I apologize. Regards, -MoleNet94

Hiya. I'm nightbird, the mod for the pacific northwest forums. It is the policy of UER not to disclose entry details. Considering the information is about a campus, not to mention in a thread that is publically viewable by everyone (from full members down to people not even registered), I felt it best to delete the details. If you disagree, I would be more than happy to discuss it with you via PM.
WTF indeed. |

| | | No argument. I see the light. I should have realized I was tempting fate as soon as the letters "e..n..t..r...." started to leave my fingers. I was only confused about what constituted "details", but I'll generally avoid the subject down the road. And I appreciate that somebody is actually mod'ing these forums! Take care, -MoleNet94

| | | Just to clarify a tad: there is no rule against divulging entry methods in private PM's for those who want to know.
also, I'm just here to keep UER running smoothly, I'm not out to be a nazi mod. If have any problems or questions, feel free to come to me if you like.
WTF indeed. |
