| | Some pics of my high school < on 2/13/2006 3:49 AM >
| | | About three years on this forum, and i finally post something i feel is worth-while. Took these one night while we were doing some show at school. I was surprised to find the boiler room door open, so i ran home and got my camera. Quick Info School: George Harvey C.I (Toronto, Keele and Rogers) Year built: 1950-ish around there not to sure though Camera: Kodak Easyshare (still new at this so don't ask details)
One of 3 entrances that i know of, that lead into the boiler room
Some alarms and warning lights above the entrance door.
Just inside that door
A little farther in.
i wasn't the least bit surprised to find stuff like this down here.
The Boilers (i Think)
Another shot of the boiler
Modernizing ancient equipment??? next pic shows what it would look like if that thing wasn't attached. Had to do some major enhancing to compensate for the darkness.
these lead into a door thats was sealed/locked. I didn't want to try to open either, being an old school and all. Under those stairs is a shower
Ummmm... don't remember what this is:D
That is as far as i got to that night. i had other commitments elsewhere in the building.
Friend who i will simply call Goby for obvious reasons, who i had to drag to come down here, he was a little, shall we say, concerned about getting caught. (We didn't by the way)
Thats it. some other things of interest...
The school auditorium, (after the show) According to demonbiker, this place has a "false ceiling" or something like that. The next image will show you the stage lights. And it is possible to go up there. But, ever since a student fell from there, no one is allowed up there. (Although it is still accessible) Which has led to the slow decay of the stage lighting system and why our shows are SO CRAPPY. For lack of a better word.
So, what can else can you expect from GHCI?
I found this little door, that is the entrance to an extensive tunnel system. I plan to return with my camera and a flashlight. By the way, i didn't go all the way in, in my preliminary exploration, anyone know if this could lead to a cold war bunker?
I do apologize for the images, the low quality and the shots themselves. I am literaly new at this, having done only a handful of explorations. Thanks for your time, and any advice/comments are appreciated.

| | | Sad little theater - looks like that lighting could use a little work. It sucks when schools make decisions like making the catwalks of an auditorium off limits ... I've worked in theater as an engineer and catwalks are key! And very fun to explore! Nice job ... ~Grit

| | | Tunnels...wow. I've seen most of the stuff at my school (during a show ;) very boring. Even the boiler room was a waste time. Never roofed it though.
