Heh, not quite. It was a random level to one of the hangers that was only accessible by a ladder that started 10' off the ground. That was scary - a bit too rickity (not rickity at all for a very short ladder that TOUCHES THE GROUND - and when you're 30ft up it's even more scary. Remember that, Vision? You had to hold my hand the whole time.

I remember that, I was afraid that you would hurt yourself and I would have to tell your parents.

Nope we haven't been back. In fact I don't think I have done any exploring since the meet. Though, there are some new places I've scouted out...this weekend maybe?

To put this post back on topic. This building has been re secured. The only entrance I found was the one I originally used. Two unfortunate developments, the power has been cut around the building and someone had a bonfire in the middle of the north-west great hall.

Whoever has been in there has been all over it like ants on cake, leaving a trail of beer cans, broken glass, and general destruction. It looks like someone almost fell through the roof, I wish they had. They grabbed hold of some electrical conduits. I am guessing that is why the power was cut. The bonfire must have been after the lights were cut.

The building has such massive, majestic wood supports; what dumbass would have a bonfire?

Went there today with Junix - the place is totally trashed. Looks like somebody went to work on the roof with a chainsaw. I don't know if it was vandalism, or if they thought the roof was collapsing so they cut holes to prevent water from pooling, but the whole place is a mess. Pieces of the drop ceiling were literally falling down as we were exploring. People had also thrown folding chairs feet first *into the walls*. Fscking tweakers...

Kind of sad. It is pretty damn surreal to have all of that water coming down in such a big space...

I have no idea why, but I think it had to be intentional action by the owners. They had installed orange rebar supports for safety lines. OR it could be they installed those after the holes appeared for workers to repair the damage.

There are hundreds of square feet of holes in the roof now. I just cant imagine someone stupid and brave enough to grab a chain saw, climb up on a roof of a building they broke into, then start hacking away while they are standing on it, and allow the pieces to fall into the building becoming stuck, dangling dangerously from broken ceiling tile supports...

But whoever did it was so reckless they had cut through the supports beneath the roof deck as well.. It is a hell of a mystery. which isnt new to this building.

When the power was originally cut, it appeared to be vandalism, because of the wrench that was fused to one of the phases. but the electrical junction boxes have since been professionally removed.

Yeah, I think that's the room, but pretty much the whole place is littered with rubbish and broken lights..!

Junix pointed out a few that were higher up on the adjacent wall as well. I'm glad I missed that party.
