|  | | | Ive heard a rumor that Andrew Corperation will be moving its main buildings from Orland, out towards rural joliet soon. I dont know if this is true, but I do know that Andrew Corp takes up a very massive amount of land in Orland Park. Anyone whos been out around there is familliar with the radar tower that they have on the top of the hill. Well my understanding is that the small 2 story building off to the side of the tower is part of orland's old Nike missle remote control installation. Not to mention all the other cool buildings on the main property. I wouldnt go sniffing around yet, but has anyone else been watching this place?

|  | | | The won't be moving...I cover local government and trust me, I would have heard of this. What Andrew Corp is doing is opening another facility in Joliet. They will not be closing the other location.

Roth pointed to some of the biggest industrial projects in Will County in 2005 as signs that the building boom for industrial property will continue:
• Andrew Corp.'s relocation of its manufacturing plant in Orland Park to a Joliet building that will total 660,000 square feet

| | | | Update: The Andrew Corperation is infact pulling out of its Orland Park Location, the radar tower is GONE! (dissassembled) but on the same plot of land that the radar tower was on, there is a warehouse that was part of the control area of Orland's old Nike Base. I would suspect that very soon would be a prime time for having a look see. Just a thought.
