i remember exploring that area when i was much younger. that's not the place i'd send the average explorer. anything near anacostia is asking for it...

it's cool that you've been there. the art there is nice. but for those who are reading this thread, that area is a bit sketchy.

Whos to say that the people that read these threads are average in any way. It just kinda sounds like your talking down to the people that read this thread and I know that allot of these people on here have spent allot of time exploring.

no, you have misunderstood me. i am concerned about the safety of other explorers in dangerous parts of S.E. Washington, DC. i am concerned because when i was there during college, a lot of drug addicts hung out inside that tunnel nearby. they were not the friendly type.

i am worried about aggressive crackheads in DC. in all my travels i have never seen crackheads like those in DC. they are off the charts.

additionally i am concerned about people with guns. from my recent and past experiences in SE, it seemed fair to say that most people carried weapons. most had guns in their houses. and many of the people in that neighborhood do not like white people.

this is my concern about that spot, if i am remembering it correctly.

it is not at all about the skill of the explorers. i know a lot of the people here as well. i find the dc/md/va crowd wonderful, and think they are good explorers and people.

if the people on these forums were average type people, i would not be socializing here.

i just don't want to see anyone get shot. call me sensitive.

Greetings from the hood. There is a difference between exploring skills and urban survival skills. If you are a kid from the NoVa burbs you won't even see it coming. If you are gonna go, go in a group of 3 or 4 early on a Sunday morning. Realize that you are not where you belong, and everyone in a 4 block radius will know it within 10 minutes.
