I'm Jobbles.. i'm obviously new. No, it's not "jobless", and no i don't know the meaning of it.

One of my buddies told me about this site because i like sharing pictures of the abandoned buildings/places i go to. I guess i've been here for almost a month, maybe way less, i'm bad with time. I have already seen a few people on here that i actually know in real life, very random.

I don't really know what to say besides i love this kind of stuff, it's nerve racking but oh so much fun at the same time. I think i'm obsessed with taking pictures of all the places too(beats always taking pics of myself, that gets boring lol).

Oh, i'm from Whitby, Ontario. I hope to meet the ones from Toronto and those who i visit in other places and those that come visit Toronto

Hey everyone,

My name is Bill and I'm located in Maryland near the Annapolis area. I just found this site yesterday when I was looking up some places to take some photos. I had no idea that there were actually sites dedicated to exploring abandoned/vacant things. It was definitely a welcome surprise, because it's been something that has interested me since I was a little kid.

I have never actually gone to the extent of trespassing, but I was planning on going to the Enchanted Forest and the Henryton Center today. Unfortunately, the person who I was going with had to cancel the plans and I didn't really have anyone else to take. =(

I'm really glad I found this site and I plan on trying to stay active. I normally stayed around sites such as Abstract Influence and Graphic-Forums. If any of you go there, my alias on AI is AsSeenOnTv. I didn't post too much on GF.

By the way, here are my camera and lens specifications:
Nikon D70 DSLR
Tamaron AF 28-80mm F/3.5-5.6 Lens
Tamaron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Macro Lens

"We have to show these men and women freedom by enslaving them, and show them courage by frightening them." "At the time, my life just seemed too complete, and maybe we have to break everything to make something better out of ourselves." "This was freedom. Losing all hope was freedom."

Hi everyone and nice site. I live in Missouri but my work takes me all over the world (49 states and 36 countries so far). I post a lot on a different web page that is for my home area. www.undergroundozarks.com

It was in September, we saw their silhouettes fade away, outlined on the horizon against the rays of the setting sun.

Hi! My name is Miles, and I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I've always been interested in urban exploration, but only recently taken the time to actually start. I've also been interested in photography.

Hello,

I am new to the forum as well. I am from Texas, and have been interested in abandoned buildings/spaces for along time. I started out very interested in ghost towns around Texas, but lately I've been interested in amusement parks and relics in urban spaces.

I guess that is all for now. I was quite excited to find this forum, I think I will go look around now and see what is going on.

Hi everyone! I'm a long time reader that just decided to go ahead and sign up.

I've used UE as a way of progressing my photography hobby. Sadly about a month ago my computer crashed and my dumb ass hadnt backed up all my photos from the previous 6 months, therefore I lost just about everything I had that was of any interest/value photography wise.

I hope to be able to contribute a good bit considering I have lived in several different places and have explored many places everywhere I have lived.

4 months ago I moved to Bahama, NC to see a specialist at UNC, and the long drive there has been wonderful considering all the places I've seen to explore. I hope that in the next few months I'll be able to get out and explore the majority of those places and be able to contribute my photography to the forums.

Hello everyone, I'm Q from Ballground, Georgia. I've been UEing as you call it for quite a few years, and very recently, getting into bigger and bigger places. I never knew of a name for the activity that I love so dearly until my brother did some research of abandonments online. This looks like a phenomenal community to share the places I have found with people who enjoy a good time.

To tell you a little more about what I've done, here's a summary of the places I've been. First of all, I've only been driving for a few months, so if it's within fourwheeler range, you bet I've been in it. You'd be amazed the places a fourwheeler can get you, and the things you'll find where no roads lead. But of course you all know this already. I've been to three much larger places recently. Ran from the cops out of one. The first (with the cops) was a very very large closed, but fairly new manufacturing plant. I went on bicycle and took it inside with me, so getting across the factory floor was quick and a whole lot of fun. The second place was an abandoned pine chipping mill. I repelled off the 200 foot tower and actually walked the entire process as if i were a log, except for the actual chipper of course. Sounds kinda lame, but it was realy great. Pictures will help, i gotta get them. The most recent place I've been to is an ex- tyson chicken feed plant. That is a long story too, and was a ton of fun. If and when i become a full member, i plan to post pictures along with the full stories of my explorations at these and other locations i currently have my eye on. I've done a tone of research on mines and caves in georgia and plan on doing some spelunking soon. Theres a little resume to explain why I'm here. Hope to post more info soon in the location database.

hi im from melbourne. its a trip finding this site. heck the whole night online has been a trip for me tonight. i knew about the cave clan, but i've never hung with them or anything. i went to a gig in one of the tombs once. i use to take heaps of industrial photography so its a real inspiration and surprise for me to come across all this tonight. I use to cruise around taking photos at night but i never realised such a culture was based around it. i was originally inspired by aus painter tony lloyd and photographer bill hensen but i went a bit stale for a while there i guess. cant wait to explore some more and get some new photos! awesome site!

I'm in the Midwest. Just looking for connections and places to explore. Was fortunate enough to tag a long urban adventuring a few times. Picked up a taste for it.

Anyone nearby willing to take a newbie under the wing, and drop info on excursions?

Thanks

Good intentions can lead to bad situations.

Hey grappler. You might have more luck if you post in a Midwest area, like http://www.uer.ca/...sp?fid=1&catid=306 or http://www.uer.ca/...sp?fid=1&catid=303

This IS a bit late, but I might as well just throw all this in here..

Hi everyone, my name's Alexa (though everyone calls me Lexi, hence the name,) and I'm a wee girl (14 years old,) from Hamilton, Ontario. I got into urban exploring through various encounters with old buildings.. I suppose I've been doing it for a while and didn't even realise it. I was turned onto this website by a friend with whom I communicate on a military forum.

Yep..

Hi everyone. My name is Derrick, I'm 25 and I'm from Oshawa, Ontario.

I've only been to a handful of places but it's like an addiction now. I love going into places that I shouldn't or most people wouldn't. Hopefully I can make it out to the UrbEx Barrie outing at the Muskoka Sanitarium. My first UE experiences were in the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital, so hopefully this will be like minded.

Props to the mods and all the UE'ers here, it looks like a great site.
