|  | | | I think its difficult to find places around ATL that are truly deserted and interesting--many are chock'd full of homeless. i found this school a year or so ago, but never thought the location was ideal for UE. its deep in the 'hood, and the only place to really park is right out front, announcing that some damn body is some place they dont belong ("please mug me!!"). anyway, obviously i got tired of looking from the outside.
interesting or disturbing side note, in a documentary (american justice) about the child murders in the 1980's in atlanta, which wayne williams was convicted of, i think this place made an appearance as a dump site. they only showed the picture briefly, but i am pretty sure its the one.
lots of water damage
brush around the school had been recently cleared; i suspect this place is going to get demo'd soon.

i dont take too many, because i dont want it to become the focus of the trip. as for bums, i think stealth is the best protection, so i am always quiet. short of this, long blank stares have been successful so far. dont recommend this technique for gangster types...
i did see some documentation inside the school, but did not peg an exact date (i didnt stay more than 15 minutes). obviously if it was after 1980 or so, williams didnt dump anything here.
here is another school in another hood, west of downtown. fenimore is kind of isolated, whereas this one is in the thick of it, so i think i will pass:
