Hey does anyone know the history of this house in Streetsville?
It's not IN streetsville but like 30 seconds away from it. It's right beside the cementary. This place is really old with alot of it's original things still in it. This place is really wierd, me and my friend used to go up there alot during the summer to just look around. Now, during the last couple of time we went, some has burned down the shed, and we noticed something strange.

right beside the house were we used to walk on all the time, i noticed some boards sticking out of the snow. i lifted them up and there was this little ditch almost but with cement at bothe sides, some pipes and also wooden railing? perhaps from the house. It seemed to come out of knowere.
Anyways if anyone has ever been there or knows the history of this house please reply. I found some pictures of when the house was first being built and it was dated 86, and also some journal entires from the late 18 hundreds.

I believe this is the location referred to. Manitou and I popped by there today. Incredibly well secured (screws every 4" securing plywood on every opening). Interesting debris field next to the building.. likely remnants of an old garage or barn that went up in flames.

Hi. I grew up right near Streetsville, which cemetery is it near? The house looks like late 1800s for sure. If it says 86, its 1886. How long has it been boarded up? I would love to get into that place. I would know the place for sure if I could picture what is beside it. I have tons of info on Streetsville history. Lived there from 1979 to 2002, and visit family there still. I also know websites that tell of certian houses in the area. Bye for now, Michelle

It is on the south side of Main? between the east side of the credit river and the old folks home.

Not sure how long it has been boarded up, but the boards and screw heads (of which there are very very many) look pretty new.

OK, I know exactly the house you are talking about. I have not driven by there for years. So I have no clue what has changed around it. But if anyone would like to check it out, I would be happy to come along if that is OK. I am no longer working, so I have time weekdays before dinner hour.

You're inviting someone to go breaking and entering with you?

I'm guessing you're not going to get many takers.

No problem. For those just getting into the activity the very important differences between trespassing and breaking + entering might not be obvious.

press Attach an Image
Select File - press "Choose File" and hunt around on your PC and point to it.
Press "Upload"

After it uploads you'll see a little piece of text in your posting such as
"[ pic=99999 ]"

You can repeat this as many times as you need.

The following is just a test - not meant personally. I think. LOL.

I think I get it. Does your "attach an image" window look something like this, jdmc?

Av's coding skills are plenty impressive, but as you see, he's not that good about rounding off the rough user interface edges. You can either:

1) Before clicking the "attach an image" button, reduce your browser's text size (View > Text Size > Medium for example). This'll make sure the entire dialog window appears the way Av intended it to. Or...

2) After selecting your file, click on any text inside the "attach an image" dialog and drag your mouse down past the bottom of the window. This'll cause the window to scroll down forcing the "Upload!" button to appear.

It's great to be alive!

That house was in excellent condition.

Was the garage or barn there when you saw it? It looks like something similar to such a building was burned to the ground.

I live in mississauga and ive seen that house so many times when masonic was still running. Problem is there are way to many cops around streetsville and i think theres a police station right across from it plus i think if anyone saw anyone near that house theyd call the cops...but my personal opinion anyways

I've been there many times, and no one has called the police, the police station is located far from it anyways. Me and my friend went there alot during the summer, and the shed was still there. I think it was burned down somewere during the month of September 2005
