They build right over it, leaving a 5 foot crawl space between the two floors. The base used to be the gym, above it is the new caffeteria. Anyway, after squeezing through a tiny hole in the floor we noticed there were some items down here. Namely a 6 panel carved mural of a roman victory parade! Only problem is that it's carved out of HUGE stone slabs and there's no way to get it out from under here without cutting through steel beams! The school has been around for 100 years so it's concievable that they were made to decorate the outside of the school?
