Anyone aware of this?

http://www.kevinfr.../journal/20051229/

I didn't see it in your LDB. Didn't know if it was worth checking out before it's gone.

Thanks, I need to get down to Tacoma. But I worry about getting killed by the homeless. Just saying, Tacoma's not the friendliest place. Although that house looked cool.

Wow, very interesting building. Let me guess, it will be torn down so that a
boring, 1/2 million dollar house can be built.
I tried the newspaper link, but it wouldn't work.

Not only do you need to be on the watch for homeless people, but you also need to be aware of gang members...especially in the 'hilltop' area. I still remember the first time I drove to Tacoma to see my brother & then sister-in-law. He told me that as soon as I take the offramp from I-5, immediately lock my doors, make sure the windows are rolled up, & don't look at people in the cars around me.

I thought he was being a little bit ridiculous, but after driving there...I agree. And this was in the 'good' section of Tacoma.

Come to find out, I live about 15 minutes from that place. It looks a LOT bigger in the pictures. It's still really bizarre looking; the front of the house looks like the stern of an old wooden galleon. Not a whole lot to check out, it's stuck next to a business on one side and house on the other with two REALLY BIG DOGS that go crazy whenever someone walks by. There's an alley behind the house so you can see the backside of it, but there's not really a whole lot more to it than that. It doesn't look like you can get inside it, and if you could, it looks like a deathtrap. Anyone who wants to get in, good luck not getting caught by neighbors and loud dogs.

Someone mentioned something about gang activity in the Hilltop area where the house is located, but it's really not that bad. The Hilltop area has undergone something of a rejuvenation, and is now the prime real estate and desired living area in all of Tacoma. Imagine that. Anyhow, again, best of luck to anyone who wants to infiltrate it...

At night the highway diesels roar, speaks to me and tells me more than any book I've ever read, or anything that you've ever said. I plumbed the depths of isolation, walked it's length and was not scared; I went from end to end to end, and from there I went again: the road that only this one knows: off to nowhere here I go - Henry Rollins

Kinda of an ugly house, but I would love to see inside it.

I figured out what's wrong with life:
It's other people.
