This grand hospital was approaching demolition by "base failure" when a previous owner tried to undermine the structure, and before that when the world's tallest Jesus statue was planned for the site. I was lucky enough to be granted a tour a few years ago by the owners, to which I saw all aspects except for the "Death Tunnel" (they forgot the keys to that). Now, the tours are held regularly but often fill up, and are full of people and cost a lot of money, especially for a night tour... But I was quite put into shock, since I have not visited the hospital since my last trip several years ago, that the main structure, thanks to donations by visitors, is receiving windows and a base stucco treatment (over the base concrete). It looks quite beautiful! There are already fire protection measures, put in on the first floor several years ago because of the yearly Halloween haunted tours (fire violations otherwise), and I assume that they have been extended on other floors.
