Restructuring of Mid-Atlantic Region

Can we please place the proper states in the Mid-Atlantic Region on this board?

This is the Mid-Atlantic Region:

* Delaware
* Maryland
* New Jersey
* New York
* Pennsylvania
* Washington, D.C.
* West Virginia
* Virginia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Atlantic

You'll notice that this is defined by the US Census Bureau and it makes a lot more sense to those of us that actually live in those regions affected.

This is the SouthEast Region:

* Louisiana
* Mississippi
* Alabama
* Georgia
* Florida
* Tennessee
* North Carolina
* South Carolina

Think about it. When you think of South Carolina and North Carolina, do you think of Mid-Atlantic? Do you lump it in the same category as Baltimore and New York? Hell no. It's part of the SouthEast.

Anyhoo, just a suggestion. Not trying to start a huge ordeal, I just thought it might help for organization's sake and would make a nice Christmas present.

The names we use on the map do not correspond to the official geographical "Regions".

Use the guide lines on the map to determine which UER region your state is a part of.

Exactly. At no point does anyone in the Southeast claim that they live in the Mid-Atlantic. People think you're talking about the middle of the ocean when you say that.

Just like people from New York are in the Northeast and people from Boston are in the New England area. Of course, this probably only makes sense to people that live in the US, which are not the people that created this map.

Actually, the thread where we decided the division of the regions for the map is still on here somewhere. It was several pages of discussion and arguing, before finally a general consensus was reached with the names and divisions that we have now.
