I remember the failed attempt at starting #urbex on DALnet. I don't want to make that same mistake again. DALnet is full of bots, and it's a bitch to use. I'm not going to try to set up an IRC chan again unless people would actually be willing to use it. I also don't think an irc channel that is only used by people banned from chat would work either.
So, if you'd prefer IRC to flash-based chat, hit me up on AIM (wubbingfubbus), email ([email protected]) or whatever.
Not trying to start a whole "LOL IRC IS BETTAR THEAN AVSHAT1!", but I know that IRC is easier and more comfortable for some. In the meantime, I'll be in #exploration on EFnet.

I prefer IRC to AV's Flash based applet because I have become accustomed to the ease of programs such as mIRC and Trillian's own applet. I am a regular on several IRC chats on ZUH.net and I will add #exploration to my EFNET list tonight.

I was under the impression that AvChat was just an interface for an IRC server Av has set up on the server. I could be wrong, though.

I liked to have a private conversation with him, without getting interrupted by others. I don't think that's what spamming is, though, because I've done it before while Av was there (and other mods). I think it's saying "Santa" just to get santa to talk that's considered spamming.
Edit: Oh yeah, and if it is spamming, in Av's view, I'll stop. I didn't consider it spamming because no one else could see it, and if they did want to, it was their choice. I once set up a "santa" channel with a mod in it, so I wasn't aware it was considered spamming. What do you have to say Av?
