I can't even view the thread I started because I'm not a full member.

You started a thread in the Ontario forum that was not Ontario-centric. I moved it to the "Other" forum. This is bound to happen to anyone who does this. Please try to keep new threads in the Ontario forum actually about Ontario UE.

Besides - you said in your post you were done with it. Why did you need to read it again, anyhow?

I was done with POSTING, silly.

Doesn't mean I wasn't interested in responses.

Also: though it wasn't apparent, I suppose, in the subject that it was Ontario-centric, it was referring to the Brickworks, which would make it Ontario-centric. But, if you don't want me to read responses to it, fiiiiine. Keep it in the members-only section.

You talk a lot for someone who said they were shutting up and/or leaving.

Well, it would have been only once had the thread not been moved. And I HAD to make that response, the illogic was simply too immense. I guess I shouldn't speak in absolute terms re: not posting ever again, though. You've got me there. See, here I am again...

So let me amend that to: no more posts unless someone really pisses me off. But since the thread has been moved to a forum that I don't have access to, I suppose I'll never know.

By the way, when a thread on a topic becomes locked, it is not a signal to simply start a new thread on the same topic.

You may continue the discussin in private, but simply starting another thread is just asking for a kick in the ass.

Is that because the authority of the moderators isn't to be questioned?

It seems as though there was more to say publicly. It also seems like the thread was locked what with some people toeing the UE party line looking bad with their advocation of shitting in buildings. But that's a big "maybe", I guess.

Now I see that the "UE Main" forum can be accessed by anyone.

I think you should either move it there or admit that you don't want me to be able to view the thread.

Why put a thread about an Ontario location anywhere but the Ontario section ?

It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf.

Please find something else to talk about. You're not going to change anyone's opinions of ravers here.

Parties in abandoned buildings = bad, period.

I'm sick of hearing you futilely argue otherwise.

I'm sure it is for the best that you can't view the thread.

It's not about a UE location. It has to do with partying in abandoned locations, which stemmed from a post made about the Don Valley Brickworks. I suppose it could be moved to "Main", as it does have an impact on urban exploration in some way, shape or form. Would that get some people to unbunch their panties?

But, in the long run, it's about No Dynamics ranting and wanting to get in the last word. Frankly, I figure the thread should just be deleted because ND did say that he was done with it. What's the point, then? Oh, I know - to get in the last word.

$10 says he posts in it again if someone makes a counter-argument.

Did you read the thread? It's not about partying, per se. It's about using locations for something other than merely taking pictures, about using locations as a backdrop for art (whether musical or visual) or as part of the art itself. It's about breathing life into buildings rather than documenting their decay via photography. It's certainly not about "raving". And it's apparent "badness" is certainly not absolute and undebatable.

Oh, and I amended my "no more posts" claim, BTW.

I've been exploring for years, which I suppose would qualify me as a "UE enthusiast". I've gone into numerous buildings around Toronto and elsewhere. I don't need a forum or web site to validate that. Which is what bothers me so much about some people around here. You've created a culture, with its own lexicon and semiotic landscape to legitimize an essentially illegitimate act (breaking into buildings). Of course with this striving for legitimacy, you've created a series of occasionally arbitrary and misled dogmas that you're unwilling to consider opposition to. Well, what does that mean for me, as someone who enjoys UE but also advocates the use of buildings for other purposes? I don't really know, actually. But I do know that there were people sympathetic to my argument around here (full members even!), so I suppose it's not as cut and dry as you would like it to be. Which means that it's a subject that's open to debate. If said subject doesn't interest you, then why bother responding to or reading my posts or the posts of others in said thread(s)? Move on. And I'm really not interested in getting the last word. I am, however, bother by religiosity and dogma.
