If you want me to never come back to UER again, leave the santa, reindeer, and snowman on for a few more days. This reminds me of the crappy Angelfire pages that I made when I was twelve years old. Please make it stop.

*Sigh*. A second thread is NOT necessary. If you had taken the time (took me about 3 minutes) to even skim through the previous thread you would see that you can either turn off the styles if you're using Firefox, or even easier; just change to one of the several other interfaces like Infiltration, Wraiths, etc. by changing the fid=(number value) in the URL.

So there I was, in this creepy old hallway...

Don't you sigh at me. There is no reason for a snowman to be swirling around such a well respected webpage. If I were a new viewer to this page within the next 12 days, I would never come back. I'm well aware of the fid=2 technique, and I'm sorry that I prefer to type "uer.ca" into my browser rather than "http://www.uer.ca...howcats.asp?fid=2" And don't even MAKE me get into how politically incorrect all of these shananigans are, which's a concept that you people here tend to hold in very high regard (but of which I REALLY don't care about). I felt another thread to be necessary, because in the three minutes that I DID actually take to peruse the other thread, I felt that there was not enough disgust exhibited. I...really don't even understand how anybody finds any of this aesthetically OR functionally necessary, aside from being able to show off sweet coding skillzzzz.

Done. I will not return to this thread, and will probably be deterred from this forum until I type in uer.ca to find the snowman and reindeer gone. There are less obnoxious places to discuss urbex, though I do usually prefer the photo section here when it is not being invaded by consumerist iconography.

How's THAT for a snotty post!

Maybe we can have Christmas junk year-round then. It would be great to be able to stem the flow of random new people.

While I agree with you that the Christmas decorations are WAY over the top (come on, Google doesn't even do anything like this), I'm not really going to put much effort into complaining as I don't really have any grounds to do so. Its not my site. I'm not paying for it. I'm using it cause Av provides it to me for free. He can stick the goatse guy floating around instead of a snowman and I still can't really complain.

I've got the most annoying stuff blocked right now with adblock and it works well enough. The lights are still likely to give me a seizure, but I'll put up with it.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of the whole Christmas theme either. It's like a running joke around here the last couple years. I don't think it's any big deal, Av can do as he wishes and there's at least two ways to avoid the theme.

To paraphrase Jester from the other thread, if it bothers you that much I don't know how you can even leave your house this time of year. I hate to sound like a jerk (actually, not really) but now I have half a mind to do something similar with my own site just because it seems to get people so upset.

So there I was, in this creepy old hallway...

Are you for real? haha! Second thread was nowhere near necessary. If it bugs you so bad, figure out how to stop it, it isnt hard. Oh yah, dont take it so dang seriously...
For the rest of us, its christmas, enjoy it!
I type this as I watch santa walk and never actually move, while frosty occasionally swoops down on me.

I loved the replies in this thread.

I also love the quote from jester...If I had a non-comercial site I would do this in a second, just for all those people out there (you know who you are).
And yah, how can you stand to leave your house? Do you close your eyes the whole time???

If you do not like christmas tough.
Av did not take a vote on what you wanted obviously.
This is not "Your site".
If you want a non-christmas UE site, go make your own.
Lots of people may not like christmas.
Lots of people may not celebrate christmas.
This is not the fault of the people who celebrate and/or like christmas.
Av wanted it, so we have it.
The simplest thing to do if you hate it that much is to just leave.

LOL what a silly thread. I dont like them either but who really cares.
There are more annoying things around here. Of course I am not going to complain as individual opinions are not regarded highly here.

Hahaha, awesome. I love when people have over-the-top reactions to stuff like this

I don't give a flying fuck over political correctness. Those who find santa / reindeer / holly / flashing lights / etc offensive can fuck right off. Bye!

Oh, the decorations are too much for you to handle? Too lazy to use one of the other forum interfaces? Wahh wahh wahh? Never coming back? Bye! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. (Man, I love saying that.)

To everyone else: Merry Christmas!

Thanks AV!

Now what we need are more decorations for the other holidays

I am actually leaving UER up in the background and listening to the great music. Is there a way to change the track? Edit: Never mind. Just stop and play will work.
