Ah yes, London UE sites. I have noticed a lacking in London's UE DB. So I say that we in london and surrounding areas do a UE blitz over the holidays. I will hit the UWO tunnels, the old psych hospital, and several other sites which i have yet to find. hope you all do too.

There is one gallery from a year ago in the LDB (full members only). It sure could use more.

Article on UWO tunnel-

There are a few old farm houses...

I don't see an entry for a psych hospital yet.

Hey, I'm a student at UWO. London really sucks for UE. I noticed a building downtown in the parking lot behind the phoenix. The only entrance I saw was a window about 12 feet up the wall. There is also an abandoned factory across from kelloggs. I've driven around the old psych a bunch of times but could not find an easy entrance. There is also a safety concern as the roof of one of the buildings has collapsed. I never got a chance to check out the old psych ward at Parkwood hospital though had always thought about it since I moved to London. There are some old buildings behind the hospital. I was there for a nature walk way back in grade school, they have some kind of museum there.

There's plenty, you guys are just lazy. You're not looking hard enough and then claiming it sucks? so judgemental! You expect the locations served to you on a silver platter or what? Why rehit the known locations? Why not find new?

I've got 10 unrecorded (not in the DB,) locations inside London city limits and another 4 within 40km drive, I just can't be arsed to share em all and DOUBLE the London LDB when slackers will just take our work and not contribute back, beyond the visible easy locations like the phoenix's neighbour, parkwood, london psych, kelloggs neighbour, etc.

^^^^^Do your additional locations include houses? Personally I don't even bother with houses because they can be explored in 10 or 15 minutes and don't usually yield anything special.

Wow, picky picky are we? 3 are non-residential. Half the houses take 30-90 minutes to explore, unless all you do is run through every room/building just to say "been there, done that".

There's a fair amount of stuff in/close around London. The vast majority of it that we know about is up on the UEL site http://uel.minimanga.com, in some form or another (mostly explored, some scouting).

We have been lazy with updates since around halloween, but it's a busy time... The reason I haven't put any of our stuff in the LDB is because A) I don't really use the LDB and It's already up on the UEL site. And a bit of C) [see Mute's reasons]

So there I was, in this creepy old hallway...

London isn't totally vacant of UE!

Ooh and zero-trace (I think I know you actually) whatever you do, don't climb into that gaping hole to enter the factory behind Club Phoenix. Theres a splendid drop that will leave you trapped inside! Careful.

Only the unknown frightens one. But once one has faced the unknown, that terror becomes the known.

Some stuff I know about the places that are being mentioned here:

The building downtown across from the Phoenix has got a cool alley, but access inside has been impossible for me.

The building across from Kellog’s has been on my mind forever. From what I have been told by a security guard friend of mine, it’s owned by CN Rail and they have rented the first floor for storage for some kyak company, but from the second floor up it’s empty. Haven’t tried getting access to this one, but planning on it maybe soon.

The old psych hospital on Highbury is literally impossible to get access to. I have tried on my own a few times and have even tried getting permission a few times as well. It’s owned by the fedral government, it’s been deemed unsafe. Robert Cheshire, a published photographer in London actually got in a few years ago somehow. According to his pictures, all I can say is unsafe my ass! I e-mailed him and asked him how he did it. He said he got lucky and has been trying ever since to get back. They won’t let him in again. Damn!

well as a new UEr I find London to have quite few few old abandon buildings, its all about taking the time to look for them, take a walk along the river east of Highbury sometime and veer off the beaten path and I promise you'll find a couple

I've been slowly exploring london but we pretty much stick to the underground, but i've been noticing a lot of abandon houses, some that i'm sure have been abandoned for a very long time and i'm only noticing them now. one at york and the thames river, another at riverside and wonderland. I havent noticed alot of other things, its mainly houses, which is fun and all but i think old factories and industrial stuff would be a better find.
