Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a while looking at every ones great pictures. Thought I would post some of my own. Took a trip to downtown Dallas on sunday and came back with 500 images, here are some high lights.

Forgive me if I messed something up, I am not familiar with java-html-web stuff.

Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!

If you can click "modify" and do what it says under "Quick Tip: Posting a bunch of images?" You'll make our lives a lot easier

Anyway, awesome pics. What's all the brown fuzzy stuff in pics 4-7 or so?

Wow, amazing pictures. What is all that red/brown stuff? It looks like part of that place might have been used by the phone company? I can see why you have 500 pictures, that place looks huge.

Lot's of really nice pix there. You sure you're new here or just some super-experienced infiltrator in disguise? lol

Seriously, nice pix! Try to resize them down physically though. IMHO, 640x480 is a really nice size on there. Everything fits fine but they are still big enough to really see things. If someone wants to see a full size photo, they can ask you for one.

BTW, what's all the brown fibrous stuff in some of those photos? I hope it's not asbestos from the ceiling! (choke, cough,...GAAAKKKK!!!)

Jeez, that's a wide lens you got there. What is it? Good stuff by the way.

The brown stuff is Cedar, used as insulation in the ceilings and walls. the paper holding the Cedar up rotted away and collapsed all that stuff onto the floor, and everything else.

Welcome!
Great photos!
Huge but great.
Looks like they were worried about humidity issues with a high dollar psychrometer.

We only got to spend about three and a half hours there. It started to get cold, and we were losing the light by 4:30. Security also happened to find us about that time. He was pleasant enough, told us to contact the management company if we wanted to go back on the property. I may take him up on that, as he told us he has the keys to get into some of the locked up areas.

Ha! That's great. Nice pictures, found a place that it looks like nobody's been to yet and not afraid of security! Looks like you'll fit right in, welcome. Cedar insulation? Never heard of such a thing. Looks to me like a cold storage warehouse from seeing the insulation, the doors, humidity countrols and large air conditioners.

nice pics. for some reason that place looks familiar... that stuff growing all around reminds me of war of the worlds- the book, not the crappy movie... although it was nice to poke fun at it! ;)

welcome.
