I decided to look at the National Register of Historical Places for Knoxville and I found a ton of places that are vacant and unused.

the list is here http://www.nationalregisterofhistoricplaces.com/TN/Knox/vacant.html

If I don't go with Opheliaism to the coster shop railway place, I might scout out some of these places, but I want to ask.

Has anyone tried any of these places before? How is security with them or are they open to the general public?

I'm sure I could get away with the excuse of being interested in historical buildings (and add in that I found the site on the national register) if caught, but any hint on what to expect would be nice. Thanks in advance!
